Chapter 15

Brian's eyes flashed with comprehension as he gazed back toward the café. "James, they must have security cameras in the café. We need to examine the video. It could have caught something vital."

James nodded in accord, his face expressing the same drive that fuelled Brian. They turned on their heels and went back inside the café. Inside, they approached the desk, now more eager in their plea.

"Excuse me," Brian responded, approaching the barista again. "Do you have security cameras inside the café?"

The barista, noticing the urgency in Brian's words, nodded. "Yes, we do. They are normally for security considerations, but they could have recorded something essential."

"Could we please see the footage from this afternoon?" James added, his tone pleasant but demanding.

The barista paused for a second before nodding again, comprehending the seriousness of the situation. "Sure, let me fetch the manager. He has access to the recordings."
