Alves halted at the front of the big gate of the Casper Mansion. There were memories streaming at that moment. He could remember a couple things even while he was not making an effort to reach that deep and annoying part of his memories. He shut his eyes for a while. He could remember about few months ago. He was standing at the same spot. On this same spot. Being drenched to pool by the rain after he had been thrown out of the mansion. Before the call which changed his narrative came in. He couldn't help but think of possibilities of events if that particular call didn't hit his phone at that particular time. The thoughts of these things did nothing but dig the hideous grudges which he had held against Madam Casper. Of course he haven't settled with his inner man yet about it. He didn't think he could ever settle. He knew deep down that he wouldn't stop until he had made the woman pay for everything which she had put him through. He had a couple ways to make that come to pass. Ev
"What the hell was that?"The bouncer was all over Alves' face, as he held unto Alves' neck in such a ruthless grasp. And while Alves was still thinking of what to do,WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?Alves heard his Ri drop in his head. He could tell that much that it was his Ri. He was acquainted with the voice and that was not the problem at that moment. There seemed to be more to the confusion. He understood what the Ri was telling him to do; the Ri was encouraging and advising him to deny ever knowing what the bouncer was talking about. Even though he had no idea what his Ri was up to, yet he didn't want to argue with it yet. One thing which he knew for sure was the fact that the Ri would never push him into such a nightmare that he wouldn't be able to help himself from. Alves put one of his hands on the back of the hand of the bouncer; the hand which was putting pressure on his neck. He didn't have to put much pressure on it, because the hand of the bouncer slowly left his neck.
The gate man had turned to the bouncer now. Alves had to move his gaze from the gate man to the bouncer. He was waiting patiently for what the gate man would do or say. "Well..."The bouncer who was bold and upfront earlier seemed to had lost the drive as he stuttered,"I mean, we saw the gate bend. Didn't we? He walked right through it..."The bouncer seemed to had been pushed into a hall divided into labyrinth. The hall being his state of mind, and finding his way out of the whole situation seemed like a mirage to him at that moment. THEY CAN'T SEE HIM? OH MY GOD! THEY REALLY CAN'T SEE HIM?Alves' eyes held that much ray to the pupils again. He couldn't believe his eyes and the reality which had just dawned on him. I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SEE THE RI? THAT IS JUST TOO...Alves decided not to prolong the thought. I NEED TO DO SOMETHING QUICKLY BEFORE THINGS GO OUT OF HAND. But at that moment, he wasn't sure of what to do either. He needed to talk to the Ri, but he didn't know h
"Are my eyes giving the right judgement?"Madam Casper started, when she came to a halt at the front of Alves. Both the bouncer and the gate man had moved to the side. None of the two could keep their previous momentum. Alves was not really surprised, he wasn't impressed an inch by her. He knew how intimidating Madam Casper could present herself to those surrounding her. He had been a victim of such too, once upon a time. He kept a long stare on the woman instead of saying a word. Not that he had no idea of what to say, but he looked to be biding his time. "Alves, is that really you?"She asked the question much properly now. Alves was not going to answer any of her questions. "Did you really walk into my premises without my permission. Did you really walk into a lion's den?"Alves was a little glad that he didn't utter a word ever since the woman started with the argument. If he had interrupted her, he might not have known where she was headed with the discourse. But right at thi
"He must be bluffing. That's it. He must be bluffing."Madam Casper seemed unrest as she paced one corner of the large living room to the other. She couldn't help herself to stay in one spot. There was obviously a lot going on with her, but she didn't want to wait it out. At a point, she halted by one of the couches. Her gaze was lifted towards a painting in the wall. Her scurrying eyes travelled across the content of the painting. At a point, it seemed like she was invested in the art instead of what she had said earlier. "He had been away since forever. But he returns to me to say that? Could that really be a bluff? Or is he up to something?"She didn't know what to believer exactly. But she was making an effort to make a meaning of what exactly she ought to do. "The previous time, he was successful in digging out the stories I never thought he knew about."She took a pause. "And even at that period, he didn't let me know before he did it. He only came here to claim the responsi
"The Prime Minister will be with you shortly."A young man walked towards the open Pavilion, which was in the middle of a garden. He bowed softly to Alves. Alves stared at the fellow for a while. He didn't add any word. Instead, he watched as the fellow walked away till he couldn't see him anymore. Alves had a couple of things to be worried about. But the majority of them came down to surprises. When he had arrived at the space of the Prime Minister, he had been treated royally, as though the Prime Minister had been waiting for his arrival. "What's with this strange reception? Or is there something that I am missing?"Alves couldn't help but think out loudly. He had a couple of reasons to worry about this. He had come to meet the P.M. for a reason, which was other than having a nice and good talk. He had come for something more urgent and quickening. Being greeted with things like these didn't quite sit well with him. Also, judging by the things which he had heard from Akulia ba
"What are you talking about?"Alves' eyes were alert. It was as though the knowledge he sought was at the mercy of his sight. He shut his eyes for a while. During that process, he heard an activity at his front. When next his eyes flipped open like the pages of a book, the Prime Minister was already on his feet, too. "I don't know how to explain this to you further, but I'm sure that you do understand and would be able to make a perfect sense of it. You are smart, His Eminence."Alves didn't know whether or not to be offended by what the fellow had just said. To him, it seemed like the P.M. was beating around the bush and trying to avoid the major question. "Please have your seat, His Eminence. I owe you every of the explanations. And I don't feel comfortable having you stand."The Prime Minister's voice was a little calm and soothing. It was obvious that he just wanted to please Alves. Alves had conflicting thoughts already. He wanted to remain standing, but it didn't seem like he
Alves couldn't remain standing where he was. There was no use for it. He couldn't find any other reason to keep standing there. He walked away, out of the pavilion, towards the exit, which was up ahead. "His Eminence."The Prime Minister was on his feet already. He started to walk-run to catch up with Alves. Not for once did Alves care about who was behind him. He did know that if the Prime Minister kept following him in such a fashion, he would attract some attention, which to some extent is unnecessary yet relative. But at this point in time, he didn't care about any other thing. The only thing that kept him occupied was the thought,THE OLD MAN IS LEAVING FOR THE KINGDOM? WHY DIDN'T HE TELL ME ABOUT IT? WHY DIDN'T HE?Alves was on the verge of getting really pissed off, yet he seemed to be making all the effort not to appear that way. Else, he would create such an unnecessary atmosphere for himself. Walking into the opening of the exit, he took the left turn. There were a lot o
