30. Come Out and Play, Little Monster

Jed sprung away in alarm. He just saved himself from getting pummelled to the ground by a heavy box thrown at him.

“Showing your face again, monster?” Ellie Hawkins pointed her standard rifle at him, grinning like a maniac. “I’ll get you for sure this time.”

“Not again…”

Ellie had set her eyes on him, firing to her heart’s content. “Die, you monster!”

Jed swiftly jumped to the side, running in zigzag motions to get away from her accurate shots. He’d die on the spot if Mycelial Sense didn’t give him enough information of his surroundings and Aerial Grace didn’t let him move as freely on the air and dodged every energy bullet she shot at him.

“Stay still and be a good little monster, why don’t you?!” Ellie shouted, following him with her own effective jumps and on point shots.

“I’m not a monster!” Jed yelled back.
