Chapter 1639 One Child Less

Teresa says goodbye to Beto and takes the children to school. Their father waves goodbye and sends his girlfriend a kiss with his hand.

Alone, Beto looks at his father's portrait and smiles at him, “You sure would approve of Tess, Dad. I remember how I pissed you off for marrying Pamela, even though this crazy wedding was part of the plan. I blame Vera for your death, but I feel like I had a 40% share.”

After this mea culpa, Beto goes to the radio and turns it on. Metallica's song “Until it Sleeps” fills the lobby as tradition dictates.

Some tenants show up to pay the monthly rent and Beto takes care of that. As this occurs, Diane arrives from behind with suitcases and is startled by the sight of the owner of the building.

After serving the tenants, Beto visualizes Diane and smiles, “We need to talk, my dear.”

“You can undo that perverted smile.” Diane warns him menacingly, “You always wanted to bed me. Good thing that nanny snared you.”
