A week later, Wallace and Vera go together to the Lagoon City Cemetery to pay their respects to their parents. Wallace's walkman was playing “Gone Away” by The Offspring.

When Vera approached Teodoro's tombstone, she began to cry desperately, unable to bear the guilt and shame, “I'm sorry, father, I'm sorry! I killed you, I killed you! I told you that Wally raped me, but that's not true! Please, father, forgive me, forgive your slutty, promiscuous daughter!”

Josias approaches and finds the grieving couple, “Glad I found you.”

“I think the same as you.” Josias smiles slightly, “Uélton called me and said you would come here.”

Josias puts his hand on her shoulder, “Vera, don't worry. Your father is certainly aware of your grief. The last thin
