Chapter 1865 A Sore Subject

The next day, Isabel met with Francisco, Wallace, and Vera at Café Montanha for the big announcement. Everyone is at one of the tables. The cafeteria is still empty.

“We came early.” Wallace yawns, already dressed in his work clothes, “What's the big news, Mom?”

“Guys,” Isabel smiles widely, “I asked Josias for permission and he granted it. I'm going to write Uélton's memoirs.”

Everyone is silent for a few seconds, looking at each other.

Isabel feels awkward, “Well, say something, guys!”

“Mom,” Wallace is first, “the idea is wonderful, but does it really have to be you?”

“What do you mean by that?” Isabel is amused, “Of course it has to be me, the family writer! Do I not know what happened in your brother's life?”

“Of course, you know.” Wallace nods, “But, you would need more sources that are unavailable. Flavia.”

“I can write the biography without going into detail about their marital life.” Isabel shrugs, “After all, I can’t ask her permission for that.”
