Erasmo, Olivia, and Sofia stood anxiously in Erasmo’s office at Vaztrans, their anticipation filling the room. Olivia clutched a coffee cup — certainly not her first of the day. Sofia eyed her mother with concern, her brows furrowed.

“Mom, do you want to have another nervous breakdown?” she asked with worry.

Olivia exhaled sharply. “I’m just trying to calm down, sweetheart.”

Erasmo chuckled. “No, woman. Coffee will just make you more jittery than you already are.”

Olivia suddenly froze, staring at the cup in her hands as if seeing it for the first time. “No! I thought I was drinking chamomile tea!”

Erasmo burst into laughter as Olivia rushed to pour herself a cup of actual chamomile tea.

Just then, the sound of footsteps echoed down the hall. Sofia perked up, instantly recognizing her husband’s steady, confident stride.

The office door swung open, and Alan entered with a triumphant smile.

“Son-in-law! What great news do you have for us?” Erasmo asked eagerly.

Alan’s grin widened. “THI

Where are you from?”“Rio de Janeiro,” Brendon replied. “I’ll be representing my aunt at Angel Stores.”Nadia narrowed her eyes slightly, studying him. He didn’t seem to share David’s unpleasant nature.“Is your father Angela’s brother?” she asked.“No,” Brendon said, shaking his head. “My father passed away. In business, I use my mother’s surname. But of course, when I get married, I’ll us
