Chapter 34 It's Hard to Mantain a Con

The school bell rings and the main gate painted in olive green is opened by the doorman. Hundreds of uniformed students leave as if they are being released from a Soviet prison.

Among them, is Pamela, but not with the same pleasure and sparkle in her eyes. She was in a hurry to escape the inquiring questions that Melissa and Jenny would surely ask her.

However, already in Happiness Slum, Josias was buying a bag of bread and some cookies at the existing bakery on Main Street. He was happy to do that with his money. As he got out of it, he saw Pamela walking hurriedly and with her head bowed. He was curious to know what had happened.
