Melissa is having an afternoon snack in the elegant coffee shop with Elisa, Stacy, and now Natalia. Natalia is amazed to have an exquisite snack. She had ordered shrimp pie and was startled to see the waiter hand her a huge rectangular piece.
"Wow, all that?" She stares at Elisa, "Won't it get expensive?"
Elisa just smiles gently and makes an aristocratic gesture for the waiter to leave.
Melissa is distressed and tries to calm herself with a piece of chocolate cake with chocolate truffle frosting. "Girls, I don't want to be a widow before my time."
"Don't worry, honey." Elisa smiles encouragingly, "With the right building, you guys will feel safe. Josias has already bought a great car, so he won't be vulnerable riding the bus anymore. And now there's no construction site in Rainbow Garden for him to roam around in."
"Yeah, and if there was, that Milton guy could take over the place." Stacy comments.
"You're already recording the name of the
Wallace cannot digest the news that Pamela is pregnant for the third time. Her uterus has no day off!"What do you mean by that? I broke up with Pamela weeks ago! I didn't sleep with her, that's not my child!" Wallace defends himself screaming.Vera stands up. "Wait, Beto; how do you know Pamela is pregnant?""Everyone is talking about it at the supermarket." He replies with a grim face.Wallace laughs again. "Oh sure, they lie and you seriously believe it. I thought you were a trained obstetrician to speak with such propriety!"Beto doesn't want to stay under: "If her baby isn't yours, then you want to make one with my sister, right? What did I just catch here?""Don't change the subject!" Wallace vociferates, "Vera and I are getting married, she is already my wife and I can do anything I want with her! Now as for Pamela, who can't guarantee me that the father is you?"Beto widens his eyes. The suspicion displeases Vera, she has a lo
Natalia is upset when Wallace hastily assumes that she is Uélton's girlfriend. She twitched her nose and denied it with her head."No, come on! We're not even real friends. I'm getting closer to Melissa and Stacy is my cousin who is dating William Campos. Uélton thinks I'm pretty, but we don't have much affinity."Wallace narrows his eyes. "Ah, I should have known better. My brother likes to make things up. The way he talks, it sounds like you two are already engaged."Natalia gets angrier at Uélton, huffing angrily, "Well tell that big-eared ugly guy that if he's been talking around about us sleeping together..."Wallace holds one of Natalia's hands as she gestures. Natalia feels goosebumps and calms down, staring at him with interest."No, calm down, he doesn't disrespect you." Wallace speaks in a calmer tone, "And let's calm down because we're in an ambulance, we can't disturb Pamela."Natalia had already forgotten ab
It is already evening and Natalia and Wallace are exhausted from waiting. Doctor Silvana approaches them with apprehension on her face."I already know you, you are Pamela Chaves's boyfriend." She says."No, we broke up. This is Natalia, her friend." Wallace informs.Silvana takes a deep breath. "Well... this time the story has been confirmed. Pamela is pregnant again. Any chance anyone knows who the father is?"Wallace and Natalia deny with their heads.Silvana continues, "Anyway, it is necessary to notify the family. Excuse me, I need to see how the patient is doing." She leaves.Wallace puts both hands on his head. Damn Pamela! Pregnant again, and the father isn't him! No, this time he won't make the slightest effort to take on another guy's baby. He wanted to help her with Caio, but she easily handed him over to Josias."My, what a situation!" Natalia cuts Wallace off from his thoughts."I need to call the family," Wallace
Pamela wakes up and finds herself lying in the hospital bed. She opens her eyes, her vision turns from blurred to clear.Cristina and Raymond are sitting beside her, waiting anxiously. Seeing her awake, they are relieved."Ah, daughter, I'm glad you're awake!" Raymond stands up and approaches her."Pam, dear, how are you feeling?" Cristina asks distressedly.Pamela notices a handkerchief in Cristina's hand, indicating that she has cried. "Mom, what are you doing here? Aren't you watching the soap operas?""One of our neighbors is recording on Betamax." Cristina replies indifferently, "What matters now is your situation."Raymond is tender and compassionate, he is not scolding, "Daughter... you are pregnant again. How could that happen?"Pamela bit her lips and leaned back against the pillows. Is there any point in saying that the baby's father is Josias for the third time?"No, Wally is not the father. If he was, I would have b
Melissa is awestruck to hear from Adrian that he did not report Josias to the loan shark out of respect for her.Josias frowns and remains hidden in the hallway to hear more.Adrian approaches Melissa and speaks calmly, "I knew you would hate it if you knew I was collaborating with that crook, so I never meant to do it on purpose."Adrian only omits that he did, yes, have contact with the loan shark. Contact that ended up hurting his father.Melissa calms down and smiles, "Congratulations, Adrian. That's reassuring. But, I would like to know that you also care about my fiancé.""A man never cares about another man's life, Melissa!" Adrian growls bitterly, "He only cares about saving a woman's life. I would never put you in danger. But, if you didn't work here as a secretary, of course, I would have already delivered Josias's head to the loan shark!"Melissa shatters her smile and stands up. "So, to me, you are no better a person for i
Beto crosses his arms and giggles sarcastically, "But, look at that! The guy who says he wants nothing to do with his ex-girlfriend is having the luxury of being jealous!"Vera tries to impress Wallace by playing saint and peacemaker: "Please, Beto, let's talk civilly.""The question is very simple." Wallace remains serious, determined, "If you have had sexual relationships with Pamela, you can prepare yourself to be the next father. Surely no one will believe that the son is Josias's.""Well, that son isn't mine either," Beto replies snidely."So you never slept with Pamela." Wallace insists."Why do you want to know about my intimate life, you brat?" Beto hisses fiercely, "That's none of your business! And let's get to work because we're not paid for it.""That's my line." Jorge comments coldly, "And you can warn your ex-girlfriend that she won't step foot in here anymore. And this time it will be forever!""You can't do that, Jorge
Raymond is enraged to see his two daughters fighting over men, "Hey, what's going on here? Will you two stop it?"Cristina holds Pamela so she doesn't fall to the ground, "Pam is pregnant, be careful, Carmen!""That's for her to learn to be smart!" Carmen vociferates, "Nobody messes with my man, least of all someone in the family!"Pamela pulls herself together. "I felt entitled to make a joke to answer that ridiculous question!"Carmen crosses her arms and snorts, "All that's left to tell me is that the baby's father is Josias."Pamela takes a deep breath. "Until when will you understand that no woman can resist the charm of that sheik?"Carmen laughs loudly and leaves the house, closing the door afterward. Raymond stares at his youngest daughter."I've scheduled lunch with him at noon." He informs, "I have to go to work, see you later."After Raymond leaves, Pamela turns to Cristina. "Mom, why does Dad want to talk to Josias?
Josias doesn't know whether to cry or laugh with Pamela accusing him again of being the father. Raymond feels that he is making a fool of himself by calling the boy over to talk. The shrimp risotto with fine herbs is served and Josias begins to eat as if nothing had happened. "Bon appetit, Mr. Chaves!"It seems that the information displeased you and a lot, Josias, I can understand." Raymond replies timidly.Josias smiles nonchalantly. "I am holding myself back from laughing and disrespecting you, sir. I understand that Pamela is desperate, that doesn't surprise me.""She was dating Wallace, or it might have been another boy." Raymond is worried sick.Josias feels pity and mercy for Raymond. Poor father! It is clear that Raymond tries unsuccessfully to educate Pamela, but she insists on being a libertine rebel. He takes another sip of wine and ventures an opinion, "Mr. Chaves, I don't want to put fuel on the fire, but I think you should go t
