Chapter 438 Psychotic Son

Melissa drinks a cup of tea to relax.

Josias enters and finds her worried, holding the saucer. "My love, do you want to talk about what happened?"

Melissa takes a deep breath. "I think I deserve an explanation. You want me to stay home as a housewife and you're going to trust my company with someone who worked for the loan shark."

Josias approaches. "He won't do you any harm."

"Something inside me says he won't do me any harm either." She faces him, "He swore he never intended to break into the office, machine gun all the men and rape me. That, again, was stuff from your paranoid head."

Josias smiles, "Then I am right to have him with me."

However, Melissa is insistent. "But, I feel like there's a piece that's not fitting."

Josias turns away from Melissa and grabs another cup for himself. He tries to explain part of the truth: "He threatened to denigrate Silva Constructions by accusing us of killing his boss."
