Melissa turns on the radio and the song "I'll Never Be Maria Magdalena" by Sandra fills the living room to lighten her spirits.

Elza laughs. "Oh, you can be sure we won't put anything related to the maid in the book. After all, we want Josias's biography to sell in droves."
