Days later, William and the Happiness Slum soccer team return to Lagoon City. William had departed under honor and glory, he was all confident and smiling.
Now he returns depressed and disappointed. When the executive bus parks at the entrance to the favela, a good part of the crowd of fans applauds all the players who get off the bus. But, the other part starts booing and cursing the players, as they expected the team to bring the cup.
When William gets off the bus, the applause and boos intensify. Someone threw a rotten egg, almost hitting the boy. Those nearby revolts and William turns pale.
"Hey, who threw this here?"
"Whoever came to riot, go away!"
Dora also expresses, "How absurd! After so many goals my son scored!"
"Calm down Mom, unfortunately, you can't please everyone," Melissa responds.
Josias stands next to William and picks up his bags, "Don't worry about it Will, it's part of the game."
"Looks like I failed for r
Hours later, everyone was at the table enjoying the feast made by Stacy.William proudly praises her, "Honey, are you the waitress or are you the chef of the restaurant?"Stacy smiles awkwardly. She doesn't want to talk about the restaurant, otherwise, she'll end up talking about the desire she had to see her boss only in beach trunks.Simeon notices Stacy's nervousness and pours more gasoline into the fire, "I'm glad Marcelo Bento gave you the day off."Stacy drops her fork noisily onto her dish as if she has paralysis in her right hand.William doesn't understand her fear. "Thankfully, the girlfriend needs to receive her distant boyfriend. Then we'll catch up, right, darling?""I need to do the dishes and clean up the mess I made," Stacy speaks with her head down."No way, future daughter-in-law!" Dora speaks up, "Let me take care of the dishes. You go to the living room to talk to my son."Stacy can't eat the stroganoff anym
Simeon widens his eyes in true astonishment when he hears his son joyfully proclaim that there will be a wedding.William chuckles at his father's grimace, "What's wrong, Dad? You look like you're surprised!""But of course I'm surprised." Simeon enters the room and leaves the door open, "I suspected you were going to talk about it, but not that emphatically."William smiles not understanding what his father meant. "I thought we were late.""Sure, we're late!" Stacy doesn't accept to delay what she wants, "Simeon, we've loved each other since 1983, and 1986 is ending. Time flies. I don't want to wait any longer to be part of your family. And I don't think Caio can wait for more time."Simeon nods, but something inside him is beeping, an inner alarm. "I understand. Caio needs to get out of Josias's penthouse before he calls his uncle 'father.' But are you willing to live in my old house?"Stacy smiles, "If Will's career progresses, we won't b
The next day, Wallace is waiting in the parlor with the face of someone who is fed up with so many visitors. His appearance has deteriorated, his beard is untamed and the deep dark circles under his eyes indicate he is not sleeping well.He is shocked to discover that the one who has come to visit him is the wife he no longer wants.Vera sits down vis-à-vis and smiles in wonder at seeing in front of the man she "loves", even though he is in the situation described.Wallace gets angry and questions this, "Stop smiling like I'm an Australian soap heartthrob! Can't you see I'm all sloppy?""Yeah, but when you're in love with someone, we don't really care about looks. I understand you can't keep yourself clean because of the limitations of this place.""Place where I left off because of you!" Wallace growls.Vera has her first shock of reality. She bounces in her chair and breaks her smirk, "What? Why are you blaming me, Wally?""I
Days later, the residents of Happiness Slum are dazzled to see tractors driving and leveling the vacant lot that will be the future soccer field for their beloved team.Josias and Octavio soothe Romualdo's heart and are present on the first day of work. Two workers nail a sign to the ground announcing the construction of the new field with the Silva Constructions logo."Look, we'll have a decent soccer field with a locker room and stands!""Thank God, we deserved it!""After so much prominence thanks to Will Campos, it was the least."Raymond appears among the people to also see up close. He meets with Josiah."Hello, Josias! I saw the sign. Are you really going to build the soccer field for us mere dweller slums?"Josias smiles, "Hello, Mr. Chaves. Yes, I think you deserve it. How can the team have been performing excellently since last year and not have a decent training venue? Not to mention that when the team is not trainin
Melissa leads Simeon to the penthouse balcony. They catch a refreshing wind, the day is sunny."Here you have a nice view of the city." Simeon puts off the conversation."Dad, let's get down to business." Melissa seriously asks, "What makes you suspect that something is going wrong between Stacy and Will?"Simeon takes a deep breath and stares at the horizon as he responds, "We have a simple renovation of an apartment right here in Downtown. That's why I took the opportunity to visit you.""Oh yes, good.""With that, we're enjoying it and having lunch at Crystal Blue. Tiago Bento assured us that he would give us a discount on the dishes. All that's missing is your old father to eat caviar."Melissa smiles and pats her father's shoulder.Simeon continues, "With that, I've seen Stacy acting as a waitress. I don't deny she does a good job.""Wait, the problem is with her?""I hope not. The fact is that I've seen Stacy very
Stacy is taken aback by Marcelo's question: is there something sinful about telling everyone that she took ingredients from the restaurant to make that original stroganoff that pleased her beloved boyfriend? No, what is sinful is Stacy's uncontrollable desire to go to the beach in an illogical expectation of finding Marcelo only in swim trunks, so the two of them will mate worse than dogs in the hot sand. And what's dangerous is the fact that Simeon is almost guessing by deduction that Stacy is hot for Marcelo. After all, this goes through Stacy's mind at lightning speed, she just smiles mysteriously and replies, "No, I'm being silly and irrational. Excuse me."Stacy walks away from Marcelo to carefully study the menu.***When Simeon leaves, Flavia approaches Melissa to hear the news from her mouth, "Cousin, do I deserve to know what's going on?""Sit down, Flavia." Melissa requests. That would make Elza and Elisa have aneurysms, tha
Elisa is shocked and disgusted when Melissa directly accuses Marcelo of sleeping with Stacy."What are you talking about, my friend?" She questions her face red with anger, "You asked as if that were confirmed true!""Isn't it then?" Melissa remains calm."Of course not! That would never happen among the Bento family. We are people of honor and decency!""Elisa, it wouldn't be the first time a man has had an extra feeling for a committed woman. The problem is wanting to turn the feeling into actions."Elisa shakes her head strongly, "No, that's impossible!""So, I must rest assured that nothing is happening to hurt my dear little brother?""I swear to you, Melissa!" Elisa responds in a shaky voice, it looks like she's going to cry, "I'm eternally grateful that your husband has saved me from Jeremiah's clutches. My family has him in great esteem. It would be a very serious offense for Marcelo to commit this ignominy. I'll talk to him!"
Stacy is annoyed when she sees Adrian and Vera at Crystal Blue, but this time she decides not to attract attention and serves them professionally."What do you want, Vera?""I think I'll try this grilled salmon with vegetables. It's a light dish, I need to keep in shape.""You definitely don't look fat to me." Adrian flirts with a slight smile.Stacy rolls her eyes and takes the orders. Then she withdraws."This waitress apparently hasn't married Melissa's brother yet." Adrian comments."Will there still be a marriage? He lost the soccer match and Happiness Slum's team was knocked out of the league. Shame on them, my father must have turned over in his coffin of revolt."Adrian puts one of his hands in Vera's, "You must still be grieving for your loss."Vera sighs emotionally, "To think that I was the last person to talk to him and that our last conversation was a heated argument makes me depressed, Adrian. And now I have one m
