Richard trusted Macy. He was a believer in never judging someone by their past but by how they treat you from the moment you meet them.

He thus wasn't interested in investigating Macy after he knew what he wanted: who she was and what she did.

He did that because he was worried for Mel. Mel had just been hurt by her own mother and he didn't want a repeat of the same with Macy.

But tonight, he had to make sure that she stayed safe and that he knew who she was with and what she did just in case something happened.

That was why he put May and Asher on the job. Asher wasn't even put on the job, he volunteered to go with Macy.

At exactly seven thirty in the evening, Asher was at his brother's mansion ready for the action.

He was dressed in tight red leather pants, a red t-shirt and a nylon luminous blue jacket that produced weird sounds as he walked.

He had on black boots that looked like he had just come off a horse from a hard day's work at a ranch.
