CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
TOWER OF IVÁDIA

Nika was sitting on the high arm chair which was just beside her bed in her new room. This was her mother's room, and the room for every coven leader that has passed. The chair signified authority.

She was reading a spell book and her eyes moved quickly from it to the door at the creaking of the door.

“Aunt Cayetana,” Nika muttered as her eyes fell back to the page she was reading which has a diagram of a snake coming out of a mud pot in it, with some spell line scribbled with black ink beside the diagram.

“Give yourself some rest Nika!” Aunt Cayetana said in a slow but forceful way, showing strong concern and worry. She came to sit on Nika's bed but Nika didn't even look at her face for once as she was extraordinarily focused on the spell book she planned on finishing before the war ahead with the dragons.
