CAVES OF EFLIE Iasias was sitting on the rock which was only few steps away from the waterfall. Its closeness to the waterfall allowed few drops of water to bounce on his skin and his trousers as they poured heavily on the rocks and bounced off it. He just took his bath and was still shirtless as he was cleaning his shoes with the wet rag on his lap. He rolled up his trousers so that it would not get wet from the water that kept flowing the place where he set his feet. After polishing his shoes with the rag, he got up and set them on a rock which was the perfect place to set it here as the sun reached it perfectly. He walked bare footed back to the rock on which he was sitting and took his wet shirt off it, he squeezed the remaining water out of it and spread it upon another rock which was under the sun. He walked back up to the caves and saw Elvio sitting under the tree trying to bore a hole into one of the four coconuts before him. Iasias grinned as he approached him. “Where di
TOWER OF IVÁDIA Nika was outside the Inner gate, taking a stroll around the compound with Althea. Some of their sisters were walking past them, and others were having a good time by sitting around and letting the morning wind graze their skins. Althea was nibbling on a red apple as she walked beside Nika. “About the dream, what is your next plan?” She asked and Nika turned to her. “We heard how the dwellers of the east slayed the dragons, and we also know that we can't slay them or cause them harm by using our powers. You saw what happened out there, the day that Mother and Amaia passed, I flung two spears towards it and they were shattered the moment they touched its skin... It shows that no weapon can penetrate its skin,” Nika said to her and she stopped nibbling on her apple and looked to her. “So, what are you trying to say?” She asked with such curiosity, and in certainty that Nika already had a plan in mind. “What I'm trying to say is that we won't fight them,” Nika said t
THE WEST (THE GREEN RIVER) After Gastrus confirmed that the green river was behind the bushes, Elena was standing in front and every other person were standing behind her back. She pushed the bushes, parting them open so she could have access to it. She pulled it apart and walked, taking a step to the other side. Her feet touched the sands of the seashore and she closed her eyes slowly. The chirping sounds of the birds reached her ears and she opened her eyes immediately. She saw the green river ahead, the edge of her garment swept the sands as she walked further —approaching the river. She looked back and noticed that they all were awaiting a signal from her before they joined her at this side. “Join me!” Elena intoned and Gastrus was the first to walk through the bushes to join her, and the rest of them followed, trailing each other. She turned to her front —facing the river once again as she continued to walk. They reached the edge of the shore, and the sea would reach their
TOWER OF IVÁDIA — THE WEST It was night now, and Althea was still waiting outside for the figan to arrive as she sat on the bench which was near the nest. She was not asked to wait for the figan outside, but she only came to sit by the tree and let the night wind grazed her skin. The loud cry of the figan reached her ear and her eyes widened as she got up hurriedly. She looked to the inner gate and she saw Nika walking out of it hurridly, in anticipation to attain the knowledge of where the dwellers of the east were. “The figan, I hear its cry... It is near,” Nika said to Althea and she nodded. “Yes, yes, sister... I was about coming to inform you,” Althea said to her as she walked down to her. “It was faster than I expected, others should be made as fast as this one as we cannot afford any delays in our mission to get our hands on the Callibra,” She said to Althea and she nodded as they looked up into the sky beyond the main gate. They still heard its cry, this time it so
CAVES OF EFLIE After deciding on what to do, they had finally decided to proceed with Iasias plan. It was finalized last night after Iasias brought the idea earlier in the morning yesterday, now a new day had come upon them, and this was the day they sent their words across to Ivádia for the trade, giving them their people in return for giving the witches the Callibra. “So, here it is! There's only one thing stopping us from reaching out to the witches now, a volunteer,” said Dalmatius and Iasias got up from the rock upon which he sat. “Give me the scroll, I'll fly to Ivádia and deliver it,” Iasias said to Dalmatius as he had finished drafting the message. Iasias knew that they were all battling with the thought of who would volunteer to go and he could only make it easier for them. No one wanted to be the one to go to Ivádia, but it did not stop the fact that the message must be delivered that morning. “Are you sure about this boy?” Dalmatius asked and Iasias nodded —tucking hi
TOWER OF IVÁDIA Nika was feeding the horses in the stable with an apple... The door flung open and the sunlight outside found its path through the open door and brightened the room. Althea walked in hurridly, sweeping the hay which lay on the floor with the edge of her gown. “Sister!” She called as she walked closer to Nika, and Nika could see that she was carrying what looked to her like a scroll in her right hand. When she drew closer, It no longer looked to her like a scroll, she was sure it was a scroll, definitely. “Althea, I assume the dragon has stopped hovering above the castle as I no longer hear the sounds of its wings pushing through the air,” Nika said to Althea and she nodded. “I told you it would go when it realizes that the castle is still not vulnerable enough for it to penetrate. They only got to our sisters in Vocí as a result of only one mistake,” Nika said to her as she turned back to her horse and fed it the apple in her hand. . . “No! You seem to be missin
CAVES OF EFLIE After Delivering the message in Ivádia, it was night and Iasias was still on his way back to the caves as he had reached Eflie few moments ago. he saw the caves ahead of him and the dark night clouds were making it difficult to have a good view of it from the direction he was approaching the caves from. Iasias descended upon the midst of the caves. Elvio, Dalmatius and Domminick who seemed to have fallen asleep much earlier, were all coming out of their caves. “Welcome back boy!” Dalmatius yelled and Iasias nodded. They all sat and waited for him as he flew past them and landed in front of his cave. He walked in, and as he tried turning back into human, the pain which came from the injury he sustained while fighting the eccrifyte came back to him in a more excruciating way. He screamed as a result of the pain immediately he was done putting on his trousers. He lost grip of the shirt as he fell on his knees, screaming. Iasias felt every bit of the pain all over again
TOWER OF IVÁDIA Althea pushed open Nika's door slowly and the sound of the opening door caused Nika to stop pacing all over her room. “Thank goodness! You are here sister, I didn't want to bother you as I thought you might have already been far asleep by this time,” Nika said to Althea as she approached her. “You know you can always wake me any time my attention is required. I'll be always willing to assist you,” she said to Nika and she nodded. Nika grabbed both her hands and made her sit with her on the bed. “You haven't had any sleep ever since the moon rose. Is there any truth in what I just said?” She asked and Nika nodded to confirm that she was absolutely right about her conclusion. “I can't find time to sleep, I've been thinking about this offer, the offer the dragons made to us. What are we going to do about it?” Nika asked and she sighed. “I thought you had gone straight to the council after I left the stable at noon,” she said and Nika nodded. “Yes! I did go to see th
