Venturing Inside The Dense Forest

The next morning, Drake opened his eyes and found that he was alone in the tent.

He dressed himself, while the memory of last night played like a tape. He was excited about having Rose as his partner. He didn't date any girl in his previous life due to his low confidence in himself. So now that he has a girlfriend he needs to cherish her.

Just at this time, he walked out of the tent to find the girls sitting around the fire stove, and then Rose smiled and said," Drake did you wake up now?".

Drake nodded his head while Kana looked at Rose with an envious expression as Rose had already told her that Drake performed Pahlavi with her. So even though she wanted to perform Pahlavi with Drake. But looking at her brown skin she lacked the confidence to ask Drake about it.

Drake also found out that Kana was surprisingly quiet today. Seeing this he didn't ask much instead he said," You all wait here. I will be back within half an hour".

After saying so he went to nature call.

He washed his hands using the mud and water only. As for soap he still needed to kill animals and extract fats to make soaps.

Just thinking about it gave him a headache.

But he decided to do it later.

After Drake returned he asked," Did you girls eat anything?".

They both shook their heads so Drake took out the Blue apples and handed them over to them.

After that, he also began to eat it.

He also found that his apple had been reduced to the last 7 pieces. This made him realize that he needed to find fruits soon or else he might have to go hungry for the rest of the day.

Rose and Kana ate the food.

After that Drake tried to store the Small camp inside the space bag. He found that he could store it inside but it consumed three slots and the Fire stove one slot.

Seeing this made him feel good as he didn't have to waste time building it again.

The only drawback was he needed an additional slot to store it.

Drake also found that inside the space bag, the items remained fresh and didn't become bad.

So it also relieved him and he decided to use it mainly to store important items inside.

Then he looked at Kana and Rose and said," Let's leave then".

Both of the girls got up and then Rose asked," Drake where are we going?".

Kana also looked at him with a curious expression.

Drake thought for a while and then he said," Let's go towards the dense forest first".

He had decided to just walk near the edge of the dense forest and see if the map could show any edible fruits growing there. If so then it would be good.

Listening to Drake's words both Rose and Kana didn't comment anything, instead, they clenched the spear tightly.

But before Drake left he saw the big tree and decided to harvest it as the wood resources he had already been consumed.

So Drake put his hands on the tree and saw that two options were shown in front of him.

One was to consume 2 mana points to harvest the tree and the other was to consume 70 stamina points. But the stamina points option had turned grey so only one option was left.

So Drake concentrated on the mana points and it took him four seconds to fully light up the option and then the tree was harvested.

He also found out that after his mana was consumed he felt mentally tired a little.

But when he looked at the wood resources that had reached 60 points it made him feel good. He got 30 pieces of wood by harvesting it.

He also got the additional tree sap*10 that was stored inside the space bag.

The tree sap could be used to make torches and other uses. It could also be used to make sticky substances like gums.

This might be helpful for him in the future.

Rose and Kana were even more amazed after seeing the whole tree disappearing again.

" Let's go".

Drake's words brought them back to their senses and they followed behind him.

In the morning time, Drake also found out that there were a few red dots in the river and also in other areas.

But he could see numerous colorful birds flying around with worms in their beaks.

It was truly a beautiful sight.

The cold air coming from the riverside made Drake feel refreshed.

Soon they all reached the edge of the forest.

At this time Drake stopped and took a look at the map he was excited as he could finally see many edible things inside.

He easily found four trees/ bushes within 500 meters that were marked with edible.

But he also found out that the number of red dots was numerous.

So he didn't know if should he venture inside or not. As most of those red dots were small he looked at his status and found that his clothes had additional skill shields. It would protect him from those small red dots that might represent a small poisonous insect. But the same can't be said for the girls so he found another safe tree and said," You both climb the tree. I will come in an hour or two".

Rose and Kana simply climbed and then Kana finally said," Drake be careful".

Rose also looked at Drake with a worried expression.

Seeing their expression, Drake said," Just wait for it to return".

After saying he handed over the spears to the girls and then he rushed towards the dense forest.

With the help of a map, he easily ventured inside the forest. Along the way, he encountered attacks from poisonous spiders and scorpions that were 30 centimeters big in size.

Their sneak attacks were easily blocked by the shield and so he also used the spears to kill them.

But even so, he found that those insect agility had reached two points. So if the girls would meet them they would easily die.
