“Johanne, that was dangerous, what happened!” I chuckled as Eli bandaged my arms, the burn damages were much. It wouldn't have been a big deal if the apocalypse had already happened because of the presence of healers but now, I couldn't even go to the hospital.

Moreover these burn marks were not child's play, I just hope that whatever mutated radiation was in that pit wouldn't be as deadly now that we are away from it.

“It was a close call, the radiation was really something else, but there's no need to worry, your big bro is awesome.” I gently touched Eli's head, I could tell he was really worried. It was already shocking that he wasn't too bothered by the end of the world, probably due to my presence.

“Even still,... it hurts seeing you like this. The apocalypse hasn't even started yet and you aren't as strong as you used to be, I can't even imagine what might happen when the apocalypse is finally here.”
