All eyes were on the guards as they walked towards Cooper’s direction. “Now, you will walk these maidens out of the inner chamber,” Cooper said. “Alright, Chief Cooper,” Dean said. “And to my beautiful maidens, you will align yourselves outside the palace and the procession will begin,” Cooper said. “Alright, Chief Cooper!” the maiden said. The guards walked the maidens out of the inner chamber and they formed a queue. “Orchestra, let songs roll in now!” Cooper said. As songs were going on, the procession began and the audience watched the procession go past. “A round of applause for these maidens!” Cooper paused and allowed the audience to clap, then he continued his speech, “We welcome all the dignit

However, when king Rehoboth got to the tenth contestant, he screamed; “Here is my wife!!” “I am honored, my king!” Eden said and bowed. The audience stood up in bewilderment, they clapped their hands and screamed for joy. The orchestra rolled in songs of celebration. “Decorum, please! Do you know why I chose this lady?” King Rehoboth said as she walked the chosen to the center of the inner chamber. “No, our king!!” the audience said. “Do you want to know?” King Rehoboth said. “Yes, our king!!” the audience said. “I won’t keep you all in suspense. Well, you see this lady. I haven’t seen her before. Besides, I haven’t seen any of the maidens either. Aubrey was clutching her bag while Sadie was clutching a small purse. They sauntered towards the direction of the pithead. On the wall of the building was an inscription “Master Multipurpose Hall.” When Aubrey and Sadie got into the hall, they could see a great crowd of people. The hall was filled with people so that it would be difficult for one to pick up his money when it falls on the floor by mistake. Sadie and Aubrey were ushered to two seats. “Mum, you didn’t wear a white shirt on a black skirt,” Sadie said when mother and child were about to sit down. “Aubrey sat and said, “ You didn’t tell me that the audience are to put on a white shirt and a black trouser or skirt as the case may be,” Aubrey said as she gazed at Sadie’s face. “It escaped my memory, mum, though it was stated on the invitation card. Keep it up, man!” Benjamin said. “You have done well, but it’s a love song, so one has to put in a great passion. All the same, kudos to you!” Bentley said. “Let me buttress on the already laid protocols. You can’t sing a love song without displaying enough passion. Work on yourself, guy, and the sky will be your limit. An extolment from me too!” Avery said. “You can join your colleagues now, and I guess we would all clap for him as he joins his colleagues,” MC said. As Miles joined his colleagues, the audience clapped their hands. “The second contestant on my list is Miss Taylor. A round of applause for this lady as she saunters forward,” MC said. Taylor sauntered to the dais amid the screams and claps. She collected the microphone from the MC and sang the ancient song, “Part Time Lover by Stevie Wonder.” The song was admitted by the artiste

Avery giggled the bell and said, “Time up!” James gave the microphone to the MC with his head bowed. “Over to the judges!” the MC said. “Well, it is a no from me. Next time, put in your best,” Benjamin said. “It’s a no from me too!” Avery said. “It is a yes from me, guy, but you have to work more on yourself,” Bentley said. “It’s alright. My judges have spoken, you can go back to your seat. My audience, don’t be tired of clapping!” MC said. As James walked back to his seat, the audience clapped and screamed as if there was no tomorrow. “Now, we have come to the end of the show. It’s now left for our judges to tell us the three best contestants. Permit me to welcome Bentley to come on stage. A round of applause for him as he saunters forward,” MC said. She climbed the dais and began the benediction, “We seek your presence from the outset of this program, and we’ve enjoyed it; we say receive our thanks. Thank you for the awesome edition of the music contest. We pray you will spare our lives to witness next year’s edition. Thank you for answering our prayers and as we pray in Jesus’ name!” Mrs. William said and handed over the microphone to the MC. “Amen!!” the audience said. “A round of applause for Mrs. William as she saunters back to her seat,” MC said. The audience clapped and screamed as Mrs. William sauntered back to her seat. “It’s alright, everyone.
