“Thank you for the food, Charlotte,” professor MacPherson said as he emptied his plate. “C’mon, you don’t have to ascribe glory to me; you should thank yourself and God for providing the food,” Charlotte said.

“You are right, mum,” Ayla said and carried a spoonful of the food. “You better eat your food very fast,” Charlotte said with a glare. “Ayla hasn’t done anything wrong by chipping into our conversations,” professor MacPherson said with a smile.

“Mr. man, you look reluctant; you should be off to work by now,” Charlotte said. “Oh, my God, it’s 7:50 am already,” professor MacPherson said after he had gazed at his wrist watch. “You must have been dreaming,” Charlotte said as she gazed at professor MacPherson’s face.

“I won’t take that as an insult,” professor MacPherson said with a smile. He stood up from his chair, moved closer to Charlotte and kissed her on her forehead.
