It was evening time. Alfred and Helena drove to Sarah’s house. Sarah was feeding her one-year-old son, Oliver, in the sitting room.

“Is anyone at home?...” Alfred said.

“Yeah. Do come in, the door is unlocked,” Sarah said after recognizing Alfred’s voice.

Alfred opened the door and the duo walked into Sarah’s sitting room.

“How are you doing, Sarah?” Alfred said.

“I am fine. Please, sit down. Mrs. Helena, you look sad; what’s wrong?” Sarah said.

“Me?! I am not sad; it’s just a tiring day,” Helena said.

“Alright…, but I still doubt it. Mr. Alfred, it’s been a while,” Sarah said.

“You can say that again. How are you coping with the kids? Alfred said.

“I thank God; we are sustained,” Sarah said.

“Good to hear, and where is Liam?” Alfred said.

“Liam? He is in his room. Liam! Liam!” Sarah said.

“Yes, mum!!” Liam said from another room.

          “Come!” Sarah said.

“Alright, mum!!” Liam said and walked to the sitting room. When he got to the sitting room, he could see Sarah, Helena and Alfred sitting on different couches.

“Wow!! Mr. Alfred!” Liam said and spread his arms to hug Alfred. The duo hugged each other.

“You have obviously grown these few days. How are you faring?” Alfred said with a smile.

“I am fine, Mr. Alfred,” Liam said.

“Won’t you greet me too?” Helena said.

“I am sorry, Mrs. Alfred. Good evening, ma,” Liam said.

“Evening, dear. Hope you are good?” Helena said.

“I am not really fine, Mrs. Alfred; dad’s demise has bruised my heart,” Liam said.

“Come on, Liam, what do you need mum to do? Come closer! You have to allow the past to remain the past. Did you get that?” Helena said.

“Alright, Mrs. Alfred,” Liam said as he moved closer to Helena.

“Now, give me a smile,” Helena said.

Liam gave a fake smile and looked into Helena’s face. Helena nodded in affirmation.

          “That’s my Liam!” Helena said.

“Sarah, Oliver needs to be weaned, he is too addicted to breastmilk,” Alfred said after he had painstakingly watched Oliver feeding on Sarah’s breastmilk.

“He is still an infant, you know; he will be weaned months from now,” Helena said.

“Thanks for that, Helena; Alfred is being jealous of Oliver,” Sarah said and everyone laughed.

“We are sorry for the loss, Sarah, receive my condolences,” Helena said.

“Receive my condolences too,” Alfred said.

“Alright, couple; I have learnt to move on. My husband’s vacuum cannot be filled by anyone though. Liam, get to your room now,” Sarah said.

“Alright, mum,” Liam said and walked away.

“Gilbert’s vacuum cannot be filled; he was clever and I loved his sense of humor,” Alfred said.

“Alfred, you are right. Sarah, Almighty God is your strength,” Helena said.

“Amen. Alfred, I heard the king summoned his subjects days ago, is that true?” Sarah said.

“Yeah, it is. King Rehoboth talked about your husband and others’ demises. He is remorseful for the calamities in this country,” Alfred said.

“The country has no security. How can a whole inn lack armed guards?” Sarah said.

“The king has addressed that. Soon, I myself and three others will be visiting the Lord of the Moon,” Alfred said.

“Lord of the Moon?!” Sarah said, surprised. She reminisced on her last words.

“Yeah. Do you know about the Lord of the Moon?” Alfred said.

“Yeah, I do. Gilbert told me about him,” Sarah said.

“Gilbert? But Gilbert didn’t tell me about the Lord of the Moon,” Alfred said.

“Really? Maybe he didn’t want you to restrain him from going to the Lord of the Moon,” Sarah said.

“You may be right. Well, I got to know about the Lord of the Moon from a historical book,” Alfred said.

“Historical book? Then you and Gilbert shared the same thing in common, he also has a historical book,” Sarah said.

“Wow!! Kudos to Gilbert of blessed memory,” Alfred said.

“The baby is asleep; let me take him to the bedroom. I will join you two in a jiffy,” Sarah said and sauntered away.

“She also knows about the Lord of the moon?” Helena said.

          “I am flabbergasted,” Alfred whispered.

Sarah walked to her room, she lay the baby on the bed and walked back to the sitting room.

“I am sorry, dearests for keeping you waiting,” Sarah said and sat down.

          “That’s nothing, Sarah,” Helena said.

“Thanks. Alfred, can you tell me more about the Lord of the Moon?” Sarah said.

“Gilbert told you everything about the Lord of the moon, I think,” Alfred said.

“No, he didn’t. He only gave me the peripheral, not the detailed,” Sarah said.

“Alright. Centuries of years ago, two Americans wedded. The husband was from Alabama while the wife was from Alaska. Soon after their marriage, they were blessed with a strange son. The moon remained static, leading to days of no light (complete darkness). In this kind of dilemma, the reigning king called his subjects one-day. They had some conversations. The aftermath of their conversations took them to the Lord of the Water. The Lord of the Water revealed that a strange child from Lunar had been born into the country and the only solution is to look for this child and project him into the moon. The mob finally got the child and projected him into the moon. After this, the country enjoyed their days and nights,” Alfred said and sighed.

“Wow! The Lord of the Moon is an American. Does he have any power?” Sarah said.

“Sure. The Lord of the Moon has extraordinary powers. He is an air bender, an earth bender, a water bender and a custodian of magic which he has mastery of,” Alfred said.

“Custodian of magic?” Sarah said, surprised.

“Yes, he is. Are you surprised?” Alfred said.

“Not really. When are you going to meet with the Lord of the Moon?” Sarah said.

“Woman! That’s men’s business!” Helena said.

“Helena, leave Sarah alone; she wants new ideas. Well, we are going to the Lord of the Moon any moment from now. That’s after sacrifice was made to the Lord of the Water,” Alfred said.

“Sorry for making you garrulous; Alfred, how many people are going for the adventure to the moon?” Sarah said.

“I myself, Smith, Raphael and Brown,” Alfred said.

“I guess the three other people aforementioned are warriors too?” Sarah said.

“Yes, they are. I think with these, I have given you a clear but concise detail about the Lord of the Moon,” Alfred said.

“Yes, you have; thanks for the information though. Is it abominable for a female to see the Lord of the Moon?” Sarah said silently.

“Why do you ask?” Alfred said.

“I want to visit the Lord of the Moon too,” Sarah said.

“What?!” Helena said as she glared at Sarah.

“Keep quiet and allow Alfred to talk. Alfred, can I go with you?” Sarah said.

“Well, as the lead warrior, I have the powers to do and undo. If it’s your wish to follow us to the Lord of the Moon, then you are allowed,” Alfred said.

“Wow!! Just like that? Thank you Alfred,” Sarah said.

“You are welcome,” Alfred said with a smile.

“Sarah, I suggest you have a resolution; you are not a warrior and everyone knows,” Helena said with passion.

“Women are warriors too; besides, I heard your maternal granny is a warrior and a superwoman; how about that?” Sarah said.

“Don’t mind Helena, she is only being naïve,” Alfred said.

“Well, I don’t mean any harm,” Helena said.

          “I know, Helena,” Sarah said.

“You two shouldn’t get on each other’s backs. Helena, I think we have to go home now,” Alfred said.

“You are right; Davies must be worried,” Helena said.

“No doubt about that,” Alfred said.

“Well, greet Davies for me; tell him Liam will visit him soon,” Sarah said.

“Alright, Sarah,” Alfred said, and both Alfred and Sarah stood up.

“Goodbye; and thanks for the visit,” Sarah said. She followed the couple to the door, opened the door for them and gave them a bid. She closed the door behind her and sauntered to her bedroom.
