Cold, and hungry, Dakota had been there all day and the man didn't even give him food or drink a drop of water, he probably wished he would die there with all his despair. His mind started to become unfocused, not because he didn't eat or drink but because the man came and injected something into the big vein in his arm. Now, he feels like he's flying. He could hear all the sounds floating around him, and the light from the lamp which was not that bright became a very bright and hot object on the skin of his face, hurting his eyes.

”Ah”

Rich Barmot held Dakota's cheek, trying to make Dakota look at him.

"This is truth serum, you won't be able to refuse to tell everything you know or else your head will explode from it" whispered the man, his voice sounding very loud in his ears.

Sam put pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding. "Dax, wake up, open your eyes" he patted Dakota's cheek trying to wake him up. His whole body was cold as ice, with such cold weather they left him in a room with a temperature far below normal. Sam took off his jacket, put it on Dakota, and tried to wake him up. “Dakota, open your eyes, don't fall asleep” Slowly the loud noise finally woke Dakota up, he wasn't dreaming of seeing Sam's face there. Dakota smiled, with the last of his strength he raised his trembling hand to touch Sam's cheek. "Sam, you came" Sam nodded. “Yes, of course, I'm coming, are you okay? We're getting out of here, can you stand?” Sam shouldn't have asked, Dakota was so weak he was almost dead, how could he stand up? “What about details, like tattoos or birthmarks? Aaron Eralda has a small tattoo behind his ear, a small cross tattoo. And there is a birthmark on the back of his waist. A pretty big mole, do you see it?” Sam asked, impatient to get back to the location, but he couldn't possibly leave Dakota now, they hadn't found who the perpetrator was. Rina shook her head. "I can't see it, Boss, the rest of the body is black, Boss, you know I can't see a corpse like that..." Rina hadn't finished speaking when Sam yelled at her. "The start to do it! Look carefully at the rest of the body, if necessary, hold the part that has the mark. Do I have to tell you how you do your job?” Sam's loud voice surprised Rina. Her boss had never shouted at her before, this must be because his boss was tired and the Professor's condition was worrying, she understood how her boss felt so she wasn't hurt at all. Rina nodded. Several ambulances pulled up, administering first aid to the victims, including Dakota, Luke Osborn, and Sam, who sat on the side of an ambulance, their faces and bodies covered in dust."Here, let me brush off your clothes," Sam said, brushing thick dust from Dakota's sleeve. They both looked like they'd just cleaned out an abandoned warehouse.Dakota had some scrapes on his forehead, and his clothes were torn; besides the aches and pains from the impact of the debris, they seemed alright. Medics bandaged a gash on Dakota's arm and Luke Osborn's forehead scrapes."Why did they target this building? Man, this was built less than two years ago. The sun shone brightly, breaking through the curtains and hitting the long sofa in Dakota’s room. Sam lay face down there all night, still in the clothes he wore yesterday.“Ouch, my body,” he turned over, feeling sore after sleeping on that couch all night.Even though it was the softest, highest-quality sofa money could buy, it would still be more comfortable to sleep in a bed. He remembered that last night because he was so tired, he fell asleep on Dakota’s very tempting bed, so why did he end up there?“Boss, let’s go out!” Edi’s voice still echoed in his head. His forehead was hot, and he was sweating even though the room was cold. He pulled himself up and sat, glancing at Dakota’s neatly made bed. It was nearing noon, eight in the morning when h
