An Old Friend
CW University. Almost midday.

In the coffee shop on the ground floor of the main CW building. Dakota looked up as he saw Sam approaching with his order, black coffee, and a piece of tiramisu cake. Even though it was getting close to noon, they had rushed out that morning and forgotten to take the time to enjoy their coffee.

Sam took a sip of his coffee.

"Hmm, this smells amazing." Sam glanced at his watch; it was past eleven, but there was still no sign of Dakota's senior showing up. That guy really didn’t value their time.

"It’s been ten minutes already, where is he? Let’s just head back to the office," Sam said.

Dakota lifted his coffee cup, savoring it slowly.

"Your watch is too fast, Sam. It’s only one minute past eleven," said Dakota.

Sam widened his eyes, glancing at his watch and then at the wall clock not far from them.

"Really? No wonder I’ve always been early, but still late by a minute, how silly."
