He wore a prosthetic leg where his leg was cut off, which gave him a slight limp, and Dakota recognized him for that. The young professor was indeed very shrewd, it wouldn't hurt the police to use him as a special consultant. His sneaky eyes wouldn't miss any detail and could see what everyone was missing.

Sam opened the folder in front of him and took out several photos that were shown in front of the young man who averted his eyes not wanting to see anything, a photo of his own leg.
