And to Aeriel's utter shock when she had a closer look at Invictus' legs. It was pitch black, drenched in greasy liquid.

"Lord Invictus, oh my-! What have they done to you?"

Invictus was still sinisterly laughing whilst Aeriel was freaking out for her life at the condition her lord was in. Worriedly, she brought out a spare of clothes she had in a small bag.

"I don't have a pair of boots for you to wear, Lord Invictus. But, I have some clothes here."

His lower half was dark, and his upper body was in its worst possible condition. Varicose veins were way past their worst state, but Invictus' joints impossibly didn't lock themselves.

"Wahaha... Thank you, Aeriel," Invictus said all of a sudden after hysterically laughing for a few minutes. "Of all the people I know, I did not expect you to risk your life just to free me. Thanks to you, I am given the chance to take everything that they have!"

"Throwing this kingdom into turmoil will absolutely involve innocent lives. You're aware of it, right?""No one's ever innocent in this kingdom, Aeriel." His tone changed, every word fierce and sharp in tone. "Not unless I deem them worthy of being saved. I remember when kids would not even want to have something to do with me or my family. And the thought of not seeing their smiles anymore added to the immense sorrow she was under at that moment.Vixen knew that it would be a pain to dig her family their graves, so they just turned them into nothing but ashes, then placed them in an improvised urn she made. That way, she just needed to scatter their remains by going to the shore.Whilst walking down the shore near the splashing waves of the sea with the urn being tightly held by her, Vixen opened the lid of the vase, throwing it on the sandy shore. Her trembling hand slowly reached for the ashes of her whole family; her father, mother, and siblings that died at the hands of the wicked. A handful of ash was taken out of the urn. Vixen stopped on top of a big rock where fish around it swim despite the heavy current and tidal waves. And onto the wild sea, the ashes were scattered as the tears flowed down fro

It's 'cause I prefer boobs over ass.""Real men prefer thighs, thick preferably."The twins brushed their eyes, checking if they were just dreaming about two armed men arguing over whether it should be ass, boobs, or thighs."But dear intruders, shouldn't personality come first more than anything else?" Said the two of them, thinking of the scenario as a dream. "Mom, always tells us beauty is on the inside.""Sounds like what an ugly person would say.""But our Mom is prettier than any other mother.""Oh, yeah? Never seen her. I should pay a visit to her room then. The people on the roof of the houses weren't that much of a threat to Arnold, Halmer, Marielle, and Gojack. Most of the guys were just fillers to the story, who did not even put up a fight against the overwhelming abilities of the four leaders together. They served their purpose, to give the four leaders their warm-up for the upcoming battle against Butcher. As for Androgen and Vixen, they concluded that it was crazy to think that two women versus four men would be a walk in the park. No, because even after Vixen managed to destroy all of their weapons, except for having the upper hand by numbers alone, they came out overwhelmingly skilled.None of them can use magic

Multiple lacerations are not enough. Bethel chose to cut deeper into Gituku's flesh, an attack the man could barely react at all.For a second, Gituku's wide grin flashed in Bethel's eyes before he succumbed to darkness."Merciless and austere, what a lovely opponent you are."What was left of the dead Gituku merged with the other one? His wound seemed like it did not affect him whatsoever. The man could still laugh his ass off despite having his jaw ripped in half by Bethel's sword."Truly a worthy opponent you are, Bethel. Because of that, I'd tell you my name."Both sides had a reset, conversing with each other with their guards up and their eyes focused on the other while assessing and planning their next course of action."Even if you don't want to know, I'd insist. Gituku is my name, which means "shady and sly," though I'm quite the opposite. I'm bright and honest."Although faint, Bethel is sure that there is no way there are only two of them when he could hear multiple voices inside his head. But it can also be a psychological attack from Gituku, so it was all doubt until proven. Neither of these will be answered if Bethel does not do anything."Gituku sounds like a name from some tribe.""Well, I am from the tribe of the mighty and opulent land of Marxian."

    Chapter 70

Bethel felt like the voice inside his ears rang for the second time, but it was not really the case. Two of them really were talking in sync, and Bethel could not tell if the same person that emerged from the original body was nothing more than an illusion or a clone. There was only one thing to make sure of and clear his doubts. That is to engage in a fight against his chosen enemy, and get an answer to whether it is real or just an illusion. The ninjatō is typically depicted as being a short sword, often portrayed as having a straight blade (similar to that of a shikomizue) with a square guard. Usually of a length "less than 60 cm", the rest of the sword is comparatively "thick, heavy and straight."
