Ch-123: Movie night

Amy immediately dropped the stick, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

"I'm so sorry… and thank you so much for looking out for my daughter."

Amy didn't know how to explain this to the caretaker, so she just thanked the park caretaker, who seemed a little taken by her sudden presence.

The lady nodded, a bit confused but understanding, and Amy quickly turned to collect the kids.

She didn't want to stay here a moment longer, as it was getting darker by the minute… and she didn't want to take any more risks for today.

"Are you okay sweetie? I'm sorry, I was with Dottie and didn't see when you fell down–"

"I'm okay mummy!"

Anna smiled with genuine happiness in her eyes, but she noticed Amy's shaking hands.

"Mummy, what happened to you?"

Amy hurriedly corrected her body language, at least to the extent she could. She fixed a smile on her face, saying;

"Nothing, baby… I'm okay. I was just scared that you might be hurt."

"I'm not hurt! I promise!"
