Although Jack had entrusted the care of his mother and daughters to Megan, a subtle undercurrent of worry persisted within him.

Despite his level of trust, the fear of potential threats lingered in his mind. As long as Megan's identity remained associated with the Scavenger, there was a major risk of someone keeping an eye on her.
