Chapter 20: Giant gates

It had been a long ride to the the ancient gates and finally they were here, Davina and Sosa who the sister whom she needed for a willing sacrifice were seated on the back of their horses with their black cloak dressing the rest of the horses back, they let down their hood as they looked at the vast land before them. Their expression was serious not expecting anything good from this journey, one of them could lose their life in sacrifice for the gates to open, the other would receive the wrath of the elders on her. It was windy and the nights darkness made the dust that was swept from the Earth appear dark, the place was filled with ominous presence, the darkness that lay within.

"We are here." Sosa said looking over at Davina who seemed to be preparing her mind further for the judgment awaiting her. She sighed looking into the vast space intensely.
