Charles Walker's Undeniable Throne

Chapter 11

After Charles and his parents in-law left the Marcus family Villa for their home, a strong riot and quarrel started again as usual just as Charles and his wife Olivia had expected.

Charles Walker's mother in-law, Rose Andrea could no longer hold the humiliations, shames, ill-statements, tantrums, ugly treatments and scenes she had earlier beard and faced before other members of Marcus family in Villa all because of the fact that her Son-in-law was not capable. She wanted to show her displeasure and disappointment towards her daughter outrightly for being indifferent towards the whole issues and more so, she wanted to ask her husband, Andrea Marcus why he wasn't able to defend himself and family before his own mother, brothers, nephews, nieces and inlaws.

To her, Andrea Marcus was also a total failure. 

Like, how did she end up marrying a useless husband and getting nobody for a son-in-law while some of her mates have capable hands as husbands and sons-in-law.

In her disgruntled state, she roared like a tigress. 

“Why did you keep disgracing us out there bastard?!

What kept you away from home since you were aware that your grandmother in-law called for a family meeting?!

Oh!, it's always your intention to keep humiliating me ever since you married my daughter!”

Turning towards her husband, she said, “you couldn't even defend yourself and family from their hands. How shameless and useless you have become before your mom and brothers. You're just a loser husband like Charles Walker, my useless son-in-law!”

Meanwhile, Andrea Marcus didn't say anything, instead he remained calm like a dumbed sheep led to slaughter before his wife.

His calmness fueled and increased his wife's raging anger as she turned to Olivia. “Listen very carefully to me right now. You're going to divorce that useless husband of yours first thing tomorrow morning and I will get you a capable man who will be worthy of being my son-in-law not this trash before me here. Do I make myself clear?!”

“I have told you countless times that I will never divorce Charles. Grandpa chose him for me as my husband and his wish must be respected to eternity by me and anybody in this house. So, it will do you good if you can embrace reality, accepting him as your son-in-law. The earlier you realize this and act on it the better it will be for you, Mom.” Olivia replied her mother.

Apart from preserving her grandfather's wishes of her marrying Charles Walker even when he knew that he was a poor boy without identity and no trace of his relatives, Olivia had grown to develop a soft corner for Charles in her heart having lived with him for six (6) years as her husband even when they have not copulated their union.

“Oh! You now grew and had the gut to challenge, order and condition me, your mother around? Olivia!”

“You must obey my instructions as long as your still my daughter. Is that clear to you now?!”

“Then, preserve Grandpa's most dying wish and do not talk about me divorcing him and I will obey your instructions to its zenith.”

“Mom, Dad, I'm sorry for bringing shame to earlier but I assure you right now that I'm going to make you proud before grandma.” Charles said calmly with utmost confidence in his speech tone.

“Forgive me and forgive us. I was actually late because my old time friend from the welfare home who got lucky to travel and was back in town came around to check on brother Rambo and we were together for long. He was also the person who paid for brother Rambo's medical bills. So, it was bad of me to leave immediately after learning he was the person who was generous enough to pay that disturbing bills for us.”

“Really?” Olivia asked.

“Yes, dear.”

“I also discussed with him concerning helping you secure a contract or partnership deal for Thompson petrochemical group after learning that Shell PLC had already cut down their tie with British Petroleum, London which will make it difficult for them to help Thompson group and he said he was going to see to it. And I think he wants to help us get a slab at Megan group upon their launch because he happens to know some of the actors of that mega trading hub.”

“Wow! Wow! Wow!” that's so thoughtful of you darling, Olivia quipped him.

“Stop being delusional of yourself Charles.” Mrs Rose Andrea smirked him. Do you even see yourself at the mirror? How can a loser trash and a nobody like you get to know someone who would help Olivia get a slab of Megan group investment? Or you just want to keep shaming us on daily basis.”

Megan group was the newly completed world largest ultramodern trading hub that was recently built in Wales city to power trading and investment in the whole of British Kingdom and by extension the whole world.

It was speculated that it was executed and built by the combined investment of the global richest investors and business Conglomerates and Moguls and which it took them almost five years to execute that project and costing them five hours hundred billion dollars ($500,000,000,000.00). How can this useless son-in-law of mine come here to claim he knew someone that help get a slab its investment.

Do you even know the worth of Megan group trading hub? That assets cost them $500,000,000,000.00 to build and it's been estimated to worth over seven hundred billion dollars.

Charles was very calm at his mother-in-law's outburst and looks indifferent as usual.

He had only come up with that lie because he never wanted anybody to suspect him when he finally help Olivia to get a contract from Megan group.

He was now the owner of Megan group trading hub which he had bought with seven hundred and fifty billion dollars through Tyler who helped to facilitate the purchase. And he bought this Megan group specifically to use and elevate Olivia's shoulder before her parents. 

“What if I had told you that I'm the owner of Megan group?” He mumbled in his mind. “Wait till I ask them to release the news after going there today just as Shell PLC did,” he added in his unheard thoughts.

“Oh! Dear, I will be going to see brother Rambo again first thing tomorrow morning as he will be discharged from the hospital.” he told Olivia and his parents in-law.
