“Grandma…..”

Jack and his accomplice were truly frightened now, because it was clear to them that lady Marcus was actually apoplectic!

Seeing that Jack and Tim were being reluctant in keeping to their vow that involved herself in order to salvage their face from shame, Lady Marcus slapped her hand on the table aggressively and yelled, “are all of you determined to break your oath now?”

“Grandma, I …” Jack stuttered loathly. He speedily made the following deductions in his mind.

If he honored the betting rules and admitted his defeat to Charles, he would lose only his face in the family and before the people who were present in that conference room.

But if he went against the betting terms and conditions and enraged his grandmother, he would lose everything he had in the Marcus family!
