CHAPTER 23

Mr. Bolton led his son to a sports car that was waiting for them at the airport and once they got there, a man standing in front of the car opened the door before bowing slightly at the duo. Chris ignored the gesture which he was already familiar with, and he was about to enter into the car when he remembered that Monica was not there with them.

“Monica,” He said, turning around to search for her.

Mr. Bolton eyed his son for a brief moment before muttering.

“She wouldn’t be following us. Come on in.”

“She has to,” Chris argued. “She saved my life.”

“I believe she did quite the opposite,” Mr. Bolton sighed. “Now, not one more word. Get in the damn car.”

Chris could tell that his father was not happy about getting questioned and he decided to obey. He entered into the car, followed closely by his father and the door went shut immediately.

“Take us home,” Mr. Bolton said to the driver.

His order was met by a brief nod and the next minute, the engine of the car roared to life. There was a
