CHAPTER 93

The D-Day came sooner than anticipated. After days of endless preparations, the time had finally come for Michael to step back and allow his son handle everything. A part of him was skeptical about leaving all his businesses in Chris' care, but he knew that it was a step in the right direction. If he didn't do that, Chris was going get further involved in the wrong business, in deals that didn't concern him, and that was going to lead to his end.

"You don't need to look so grumpy about it," Richard chipped in casually and placed an arm across Michael's shoulders. "As a friend, I'm telling you that what you've done is for the best. Chris is totally going to kill the role of CEO."

Michael stared at the young man standing beside him with disgust evident in his eyes and slowly, he removed Richard's hand from his shoulder.

"First and foremost, we're not friends," Michael started.

"Fair enough," Richard shrugged. "Business partners then?"
