Gratitude

The carriage had arrived safely at the Nousant castle. With the help of her maids, Remina jumped from the vehicle followed by Helene. The saintess then politely bowed down to the princess and said, “Princess Remina, I excuse myself to go back to the sorcery school.”

Remina nodded and smiled tenderly. “Thank you for escorting me, Helene. Be careful. Do you need some guards to come with you along the way?”

“It’s very kind of you, Princess,” Helene said, then shook her head. “But you don’t have to do that. I’ll be just fine”

The saintess then walked herself back to the place where she should be. Now Remina was alone since Helene left, and the solitude brought her to the thought of Alex. After seeing what that young man did to help the kingdom prosper, the princess couldn't stop thinking about giving him some appreciation and respect.

“Princess?” a call from one of the royal guards woke Remina from her reverie. “Are you all right? It seems like you’re thinking about something.”
