Heroes Selection

Dawn breaks, Gaius walks over to the guest house to see Toda, he knocks and Toda opens the door, "Toda, you are still deep in sleep, get ready, we leave for the Cathedral, the training and assembling of the seven heroes starts today." Apparently the Heroes are trained at the cathedral by the holy knights, who were the strongest knights of the Khetis Empire, holy knights were former hero candidates who trained with the heroes of old as such are very powerful, some retired heroes would also be called to train their apprentices.

The two boys were done preparing and so they were ready to leave, "Gil, check if the couch man is ready to move." Gaius said, Gil came back saying he was ready, the two young men left, while they were going, Gaius says his good bye to his friends as he wasn't sure if he'd have a chance to come see them again. They left for the cathedral, while on their way Toda asks, "So, you knew right?" Gaius smiled, "its about time, i thought you'd never ask, well at first i didn't know until i saw the dragon crest, and when you drew it from the sheath, i noticed the blade itself was a feint, the true Oathbreaker will be unlocked soon."

Toda didn't understand so he just laughed it away, soon later they got to the cathedral, and with them a lot of other candidates, they went in and then Julius walks up to them, boys, you made it, let's go introduce you to the emperor, they walked up the building to a room, when they got in, there were five people present, two of which were guards, one was obviously the Emperor, but he didn't know who the other two were, he just understood they dressed like royalty.

The Emperor spoke, "Ah, you are the young man Julius and Liam spoke of, i am the emperor of Khetis, and also the king of its imperial kingdom Khetis, Lourd Comfauy Noverus, can i meet you young man." Toda took a bow and introduced himself, "I am terribly sorry my liege, i am Hisaki Toda, a common traveller." The emperor, was amazed, "just like Julius said, you are well mannered, good to have you here, I'll be closely watching you, this young man beside me is my first born child, Richard, and beside him, the daughter of a duke and another king in Khetis, who also is my elder brother, they'll be trying with you, good luck to you all."

After they were excused, the candidates that were selected to become heroes gathered, present there were 17 candidates, from the original candidates were 16 but there was an uninvited guest from a rather rare clan, a fairy, the grand master Toda met at the guild walks up to them and starts to speak, "brave potential heroes of our time today we select seven of you out of sixteen who will wield the sacred arms and draw out the power of the gods, one out of you all has wielded the sacred arm but is yet to unlock its potential, out of the seven sacred arm, EROS of lust or Oathbreaker has been claimed, so if you came with intention to wield it then your journey ends here."

After Liam's speech, out of the seventeen present, nine candidates stepped out, the remaining eight stood their ground, among these eight were, humans, elves, dragonkin, beast folks and a fairy, Liam then asked them to follow him, he led them to a cave and then just at its depth was the were the sacred arm of the heroes of old, Liam then started identifying each one, "Gemini, the Spirit spear, Bellona, Divine axe of war also known as The Arbiter, Vega, the sacred bow that never runs out of arrows, also called the Tempest, Hades, the Death scythe, Taurus, the golden staff of truth and finally The Iron Maiden, the blood chains, i have mentioned EROS to you already, so now I'll need you to select your respective arm and wait for my instruction."

They all walked up to their respective sacred arm and waited for Liam's Orders, the prince walked up to the axe, Gaius and the prince's cousin took the blood chains and the staff, a human boy and the fairy went for the spirit spear, an elf went for the bow and a dragonkin went for the Scythe, After seeing as everyone was ready at their arms, he thought he should slim out the excess weight, he then started with the Sacred Arm with two candidates, the spirit spear, "i guess I'll start with the spirit spear, Gemini, the origin of this spear goes way back, but i won't talk now, the first step is for the sacred arm to measure your purity, give your blood to the sacred arm, it will confirm if your vessel is compatible or not."

The boy went to the spear took up a knife and cut his thumb, blood flowed out and on the blade of the spear he dropped his blood, no effect took place and them Liam said he was rejected, the fairy was next, he flew through to the spear, he was handed a knife, he rejected it saying the fairy King's blood mustn't be tainted by steel, he cast a kind of wind magic to impale his skin, his blood rolled out as his hands and as the blood rushed the injury also healed back, as the blood dropped on the blade of the spear for a moment nothing happened and then there was a sound like a pin drop echoing, the spear suddenly glows and then Liam says he was accepted, he then continued, "you see this spirit spear was said to be crafted by the god of fairy's himself, made from the Great Tree in the fairy gods domain, a tree rooted deep into the earth, that very tree was planted by the fairy god, and nourished with his blood, and as such new fairy's are born from it, and among all the fairy's a specially selected two were chosen, to be the fairy king and the guardian and aide to the fairy king, to sum it up this spear is the third out of the top three, strongest sacred arm as it power is draw from the earth itself, enough with the history I'll tell you the history of your arms another day now you activate the arms do as the fairy king did and after that you will be taught how to draw a fragment of your arms power."

They all did as Liam said and all of their vessels were found worthy, Liam smiles and says, "Now to learn how to draw the power of your arms."
