There were quite a number of things which left the ladies puzzled. What Damien had done was a thing which he should be reflecting on. He should be cooped up somewhere, reluctant to take in visitors. The girls should be by the door of the apartment knocking to come in while he tells them that he doesn't want to meet anyone.

But on the contrary, Damien had come to meet them. And seeing him, the girls were falling away in fear. It should be the other way round. The girls could swear to it.

But their convictions or perceptions didn't matter at this time. What mattered was the fact that Damien had walked into their apartment and had taken the best position to seat and cross his leg.

The girls couldn't take seats yet. They would occasionally look from Damien to Matthew who was standing behind him, by the right hand side.
