"What brings you all here?"
Damien walked past them. None of the eight girls was bold enough to enter through the gate of the compound. He entered through and stood before them, behind the gate.He was lucky enough to had been able to catch up with the wolf. He had instructed her to take another route to the other safehouse.Damien looked from one girl to another. They seemed really reluctant to speak. Of course he was there because the system told him that they were there, but he had decided to pretend as though he didn't care."Have a nice day, then. I have a lot to do."He turned away from them, making to walk away."Shouldn't you at at least invite us in?"He could tell whose voice that was. He turned to them."And why should I do that? Last time I checked, didn't your claim to want to be independent. An independent woman should always keep her words, don't you think?"Claire sneered at his res"Hey, girl. Enough with the play already!"Damien seemed to had gotten enough of the fun. But the wolf didn't stop, she kept chasing the girls, especially Ayisha. Damien wished that this could go on for a little while, but the girls were already becoming a mess. He was surprised that none of them had passed out yet. "Der!!!"Damien got mad and the wolf stopped. "Come here right now!!"The wolf hurried to him and tucked her head in remorse. Damien squatted. "Why do you always do what would make you feel remorseful? Is it a habit?"The wolf whined. He decided to caress her head for a while. "It's fine. I'm no longer mad."He bent closer and whispered,"By the way good job, I'd treat you to something really cool.""You knew this would happen. Didn't you?!!! You set the wolf against us, is that right? I saw you laughing!"That was Claire. While the rest of the girls were panti
"What do you think is wrong, Der?"Damien couldn't think straight. He wasn't really expecting an answer from the wolf, because he knew she wouldn't have a clue. There were a lot of questions weighing on his mind. DIDN'T THE SYSTEM SAY THAT THE ACATIUS ROOT WOULD HOLD THE CANNIBALS AWAY? HOW COME THE FENCE WAS BROKEN DOWN?He got more confused. WHO BROKE IT DOWN, THE CANNIBALS? PLUS, THIS IS CEDAR. NO ONE CAN TAKE IT DOWN SO EASILY. DID THE SYSTEM LIE TO ME?He shook his head. THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. IT'S NEVER DONE SO BEFORE, WHY WOULD IT NOW?Since he wasn't getting the answer he so desired, he headed inside the village of the Cannibals. He didn't bother picking up the bunnies anymore, but the deer was still sitting across his shoulders. The wolf followed him. It was early in the morning. He saw few Cannibals roaming the streets of the village. As soon as one saw him, it made a weird noise signalling t
"Who could had thought a loser like Damien could suddenly become a big deal?"Tendzel was the one who severed the awkward silence which had been weighing upon the six girls. They were seated outside the safehouse which Damien had directed them to. "Change is a constant thing. Some people don't get to show who they are until the right circumstance pops us. I think this is the right circumstance for him."Yes you guessed right, that was Mira. Not all the girls quite agreed with what she had said. It was just the matter of time before they started making their opinions known. "Yet, how could he be so rude to us? Has he forgotten who we are? We are the bevy of Beauties, the goddesses of the BMX group. The only group which could shut down the election of the whole country because of a small party. Who does he think he is?"Laurette was mad. She seemed really pissed off. The corner of her eyes burned in ire. "How about we forget abo
"These bastards won't give up."Damien pushed one of his legs backwards, ducking a thrust as well as keeping his frame in balanced. He couldn't believe that he had been fighting these beasts all day. Yeah, he called the Cannibals beasts because they fought as though they were blind; standing up as soon as they were knocked down. Damien was certain that the only part of the Cannibals' brains active was the KILLING and RIPPING part. He still hadn't been able to flip out the system. He wasn't even spared a second to breathe. His eyes strayed to the wolf which was bitting into backside of one of the Cannibals. The Cannibal jumped around in pain, trying to turn and hurl the wolf away. "Der, I need you to do something for me."He called on top of his voice. ~ wh- wh- ~Damien could barely hear the response of the wolf. She had a mouthful of the Cannibal's ass. Der finally ripped off a fat flesh out of the Cannibal's ass.
"Woah, I'd be damned."Damien gaped, standing at the entrance of the small hut. He couldn't believe his eyes. Really? Could the Cannibals have such a great treasure reserve? Damn! The hut was getting pretty dark because the night was slowly creeping on the island already. Yet, he could clearly see the bars and small statues of red gold arranged across the room. His heart thumped violently in his chest. FUCK! I'M DEAD RICH!He thought. The wolf looked at him. It was also really strange that now, the wolf could hear his thoughts. Was that what the LINK OF THOUGHTS meant? The Cannibal who had brought him into the hut turned to him and made weird noise which meant,"We've guarded these treasures all our lives. Guarding the stones for the return of our king. Now it's all yours, Lugal. Build your great castle you've promised with them all."LUGAL? STONES? CASTLE?Damien gulped trying to process all what the Cannibal
"How irritating."It was very hard from Damien to forget about the rites of the Cannibals. The imagery was very colorful in his mind at the moment. He was trying to so hard to get rid of it. The only option he had was to get his mind busied with some other thoughts. That trick always worked back in Las Vegas. Whenever he got the worst of his crappy stepmom's attitude and felt like just going to die, he busied his mind with something else. The trick should work this time too. He was walking alone a path in the woods. He was headed to the castle. The woods was dead silent, and the loud chirping of crickets travelled across the breadth of the island. Lucky for him, the moon was up and lit his path. Though the vision was at its best, but he could see what was up ahead of him. It's very important to note that, some lofty trees created dark corners which the idling lights of the moon couldn't lit up. Damien was wise enough not to trail off to those s
"Gather up. Gather around."Damien called at the girls. The sun was already setting. Earlier this morning, he had gone to the Cannibal's village to gather as many rice seeds as possible. It was the time to start worrying about what to eat, while trying to stay alive. He didn't have much time to talk to the Cannibals, he need more time. He would leave them for few days and see how they react to the fact that they now have a king. The girls gathered at his front. He could see each of them clearly. They had walked out of the safehouse. He'd let the wolf pass the night in his room. He got home quite late yesterday. His gaze fell on Tendzel who winked at him. Evelyn caught the reaction and stared inquisitively at him. He knew that she wouldn't be bold enough to come ask him anything. She would end up asking Tendzel. "This is the first task. And the reward for this task is, moving from the safehouse to the castle. Whoever is unable to get the task done, you kn
It took three days for Damien and the girls to put the effort to bed. It wasn't really an easy task. And if you ask him, he was really surprised that none of the girls backed out during the three days. He was impressed. One way to think of it was that, if Claire was around, there might be another narrative to the story. The girls were waiting for him at the front of the rice field. He was walking out of the castle, from where he had gone to keep the tools. Initially, he'd wanted to hide the tools away in the system store as usual, but he needed to be cautious. The girls might ask for the tools or search for it. Even though he knew that some of the girls figured out that something was strange with him, he still needed to keep a form of charade until he would be certain enough to break the news to them. That's if the day ever arrive. [Ping! Farmed a rice field and unlocked 8000 experience points.]THAT'S HUGE. Drake thought to himself a
