"What! I never did this... I never did..."

"She wouldn't even let me eat."

Damien groaned when the knock on the door came.

"Shield the food from preying eyes."

He instructed.

[Ping! Request admitted. System shielding...]

He pushed the notification.

"Open the door."

As soon as the door opened, he heard a gasp. He didn't have to turn to be able to tell what the problem was. She must have been shocked to see the door open itself.

"If you would come in. I don't have much time to spare."

He called and then came the movement. When the lady walked in, she looked very cautious and somewhat scared.

"Come have a seat."

He offered and she did. She settled at his front, in a single couch which was opposite his.

"Hi. Sorry for randomly bringing this up. Hope you are not mad at me? I just had to talk about somethings."

She started. Damien felt like he had an idea of what she was about to say. But what was the point of getting ahead of himself when she could just pave her lips and have the words pouring?
