Crazy Devouring System

Chapter 13

Reward

Sky was incapable of containing his astonishment at the system; the features it supplied were like a gift from God, and he could not believe he could just acquire talents by running around and espcaping spiders. 

When knights initially started to awaken their powers, they would only receive one ability at that time. They needed to obtain the cores of demons in order to extract the skills of those demons and use them for themselves.

This was the only way for them to obtain further abilities. However, using this method wasn't guaranteed to work, and the vast majority of the time, knights were unsuccessful in acquiring these abilities.

Sky's former ability was highlighted senses, but after just completing a single mission, he gained access to two other abilities that he could use.

"How many more skills will I have access to if I complete more missions?"

He looked  up into the ceiling, and just as he was about to shout, out of  excitement, he suddenly remembered that he was still in the hospital.

He hastily covered his lips while smiling, and he continued to look at the ceiling, he had almost embarrassingly made a fool of himself.

Sky went back to have a look at the second reward, which was a slight strengthening of the body, he didnt really know what that meant.

"Sytem what do you mean by body strengthening "

"

【Because the user's body is extremely weak, the sytem strengthened the user'sbody as an extra reward.】

When Sky heard what the system had to say about how it perceived him to be weak once more, he felt furious.

"Well i dont really know the effect of this strengthening, let check it and see"

Sky's attempt to punch the air, trying to see how strong his body had really become, he was able to deduce from the result that his body's strength had significantly increased, from this test he could feel that his preent body had become stronger than the body he had before turning to this handaome man.

"How much more powerful will I become if I continue completing missions"

Despite the fact that Sky was the weakest of strong knights, he had a 10 for all of the status parameters; nevertheless, sky didnt get cocky, other Knights would most likely have higher values.

Sky couldn't wait to put his newly acquired strength to the test in a demon grotto, but in order to do so, he had to first leave the hospital.

He went to the restroom, removed the patient clothing, and discovered a clean pair of clothes waiting for him there; Officer Silvester of the Knights Order had placed them there for him to before he left.

Sky gave the cloth a try , and he found that they were an excellent fit for him.

"Did that person measure me or something? Probably not, the Knight's Order is typically known for its precision; he most likely just approximated my size."

Sky pulled the door of the room open and exited the place, he was ready to leave the hospital, but as he was leaving, he couldn't help but worry whether or not the Knight Order knew he had the system and what they would think of it if they did.

 "I probably have to keep the existence of the system to myself, the Knight's Order would probably make me into some kind of lab rat, and i do not know whether or not this system is a good thing."

Sky was worried about keeping the system hidden, but he didn't realize that young female nurses and physicians were staring at him with pink faces as he walked out of the hospital.

Sky's charm was too much for them to resist, so they couldn't help but stare at him. He was lost in thought and didnt  didn't realize that they were all staring at him.

Suzy was standing nearby and was also observing as Sky walked by, thinking to herself, "all these girls surely think he is cool, not noticing all their gazes, while they probably won't understanding that he is probably thinking again and was lost in thought."

As Sky continued on his way, he was unaware of all the loving glances that were being directed his, and his attitude just made him the more cooler.

Sky has the ability to use 'heightened senses' to see his surroundings; as a result, even when he was deeply immersed in his thoughts, he was still able to see his surroundings and navigate his way through them, which prevented him from hitting anything or going the wrong way.

After Sky had finished locking the gate to the hospital, he found himself finally outside.

it was getting late in the day and was already quite dark, he was about to take out his phone and call for a cab when he remembered his increased strength.

As a result, he decided to put his new abilities to the test, and he was going to do this running home as fast as he could.

He started his voyage with a sprint, and as he continued to move faster and faster, he was able to see, that his speed was actually as fast as a normak car.

"My speed had unquestionably increased," he exclaimed as he laughed.

His speed was approximately three times as quick as it would have been under normal circumstances. In his opinion, the only individuals who were capable of outrunning him now, were either high level knights knights or low level Knight's who either specialized in speed.

After only a few minutes, he was already standing at the entrance to his home.

It was a condo that he and his mother had rented after the loan sharks had taken their previous home, but at the moment, he was the only one staying there; his mother could not survive without daily care from the hospital, so she was forced to stay there.

She was receiving treatment in a facility in another city that was designated specifically for the care of cancer patients.

"I really ought to make an attempt to find a time to go see my mother; I'm wondering as to whether or not she would recognize me with my current face."

Sky spoke while clenching his fist, "With the system and my newly discovered strength, I should be able, earn enough to cure her."

When he got back to his house, he found that everything was exactly the same as it had been before he left.

Before beginning anything else, he made his way down to the basement, which was the location of his personal gym and where he stored his equipment.

There, he had access to all of the equipment required for performing a full-body workout.

After a few moments of work out, he came to the realization that his entire strength had increased. He was able to punch faster and with more force; even his punching strength had increased; and he was even able to carry more weight than he normally could. This was a significant improvement over his previous capabilities.

When he was done with the work outs and test je decided to go to bed and get some sleep, he had a sudden realization that he had forgotten to look at the last reward.

After a bit of experimenting and learning from his mistakes, he wss able figured out how to extract and display the blue screen that had been obtained from the system.

The opportunity to throw a dice was the last reward, and after he clicked on it.

A cold mechanical voice, appeared once again in his head

【The user won't be allowed to throw a dice until they have finished the next mission】

"Then what is a dice exactly?" 

【The dice contains an additional reward that can be won by rolling the dice, a reward is selecting it at random from a list of rewards thatvare available on the dice, the reward user would get is entirely depended oh good the user is in throwing dices.】

Sky couldn't help but feel pleased the moment he found out that there would be an additional reward, and he couldn't wait to find out what it would be, though he was not good at playing games with dices, howbhard coukd it be.

"What is the next mission and when can i start it?"

【The next mission will be precisely the same as the last mission, body strengthening, and it would commence tomorrow】

When Sky received the response from the system, he couldn't help but think about the giant black mokey spider from the last mission, and his face became immediately covered in terror, if the next mission was going to be thesame would he not be meeeting that spider again.

"System am i going to undertake the mission in the same site i did before, the training site A1?"

[Mission, body strengthening ,can be done at the training site or in any other environment where the user can improve his body strength]

"If that's the case, then why the hell did you send me to that location?"

【Because the user was too weak, user was unable to make a decision; as a result, the system chose the location of the training for the user】

"Damm you, I almost died"

【The user will discover that the training site is the most useful area in which to finish the mission.】

Sky could not stop blaming the system because he could not believe that he had been sent to that damn place because the system deemed him unfit to make a decision on his own because he was weak, the thought was just too revolting, if he was too weak why not just cancel the mission entirely, atleast in that way he wound not have almost died.

he continued, "Thank God I asked, because if I hadn't, I would have surely been sent to the training site twithout knowing, i would have probably died an unjust death." 

"System, can you alarm me when the next mission will take place?"

【The logistical planning for the next mission will get underway tomorrow】

"Grant me the acces to determine the site for every other mission," sky pleaded. "I want to be in control."

【Noted】

Sky couldn't help but think about the reward he was going to get tomorrow, in addition to the potential additional bonuses that were going to come along with it. 

Though the system had almost killed him today, he was still thankfull to it, because it had opened a new way for him, with it he would no longer be known as the weakest Knight in existence, he didnt know which trouble the suystem would bring but as long as he got stronger, it would all be worth it

After what could be described as a day filled with a great deal of excitement, he made his way back to his room and promptly passed out on his bed.
