A Bet Between Siblings

Ferdinand got out of bed and had a bath then came down for breakfast in a casual wear. There was no work today and he was looking forward to enjoying the rest of the day.

His entire family was at the table and he joined them and took his usual spot.

"Good morning," Ferdinand said. He was in a happy mood that day but not for any particular reason.

"How is it going with taking the spot of Vincent Victor as the new CEO of DeVic company?" Mr Khalid asked all of a sudden. The question ruined Ferdinand's mood in a way.

"It's my day off. Could you have at least given me ten minutes of peace?" Ferdinand retorted.

"It's just a question. You should try speaking to our parents without making an argument out of it." Kate said to Ferdinand.

"That's easy for you to say. You were the most pampered one. Too bad you were the most rotten one I had to deal with on my own." Ferdinand replied to Kate.
