The Escape
Ferdinand and José were placed in the same cell but Kate and Alma were placed in different ones as females.

On the same night of the day they were found guilty, Ferdinand remained awake in the cell until midnight while José fell asleep at ten o'clock.

The cell had no windows. Just three walls and the fourth wall being replaced by steel bars holding prisoners in.

The entire place smelt like puke and dust. A feeling of death lurked about. A lot of things unseen to a normal citizen have happened in that prison which should not be mentioned at all.

People who became prisoners there were treated exactly and even worse than the criminals they were. And most times, the level of suffering to be endured by the criminal depends on how high the crime committed.

Ferdinand got up and restlessly walked about in the cell wondering to himself if this was how it was going to end for him.
