Screams echoed through the vast halls of the Montgomery estate. Agonized wails, filled with sheer torment, seeped through the walls, making even the guards outside shift uncomfortably. The source? A certain skinwalker—currently at the mercy of Valen, the Grim Reaper of the Montgomery family.

Down below, far removed from the chaos, Palmer led Damien and Sarah into the hidden chamber beneath their mansion.

"That guy was acting all tough earlier," Damien mused, stuffing his hands into his pockets. A smirk played at his lips. "Now, he sounds like he’d spill his entire family’s lineage just to make it stop."

Sarah glanced sideways, her mischievous eyes glinting. "Between you both, I wonder who screamed louder back then."

Damien visibly flinched. "H-Hey! That was supposed to stay between us!"

Palmer, walking ahead, looked away to avoid any eye contact between them.

Sarah turned her attention to their surroundings, her steps slowing as awe settled in. "Still… I never knew this pla

Damien dug through the mess of stolen trinkets, kicking aside old relics, gilded jewelry, and other auctioned valuables he barely remembered taking."Wow," Sarah said, her arms crossed as she leaned against the stone wall. Her voice dripped with sarcasm. "You’ve been *busy* these past few months, huh? Busy making enemies." Damien rolled his eyes, muttering, "We have worse things to worry about."Finally, his fingers brushed against something unnaturally cold beneath the pile. He hesitated, then carefully pulled back the layers of cloth to reveal it—A perfect black sphere, its surface carved with ancient patterns that pulsed faintly, like a heartbeat beneath obsidian skin."Here it is," Damien said, frowning as he studied the orb. "But… it’s glowing? Why's it glowing?" "They can sense each other," Palmer murmured, stepping forward. His crimson gaze darkened, locked onto the sphere like it was whispering secrets only he could hear. "Careful not to make contact."Damien grabbed a pie

They tried to move toward him, but their limbs trembled, barely able to hold themselves up."You promised us."Sarah’s voice was weak. It barely reached him over the howling wind."You swore you’d protect us…"Damien lifted his head, his once-defiant blue eyes now empty."Why did you do this to us?"Palmer's breath caught in his throat. He tried to reach for them, but his body wouldn’t move. He was frozen, paralyzed as their broken figures collapsed before him.The world around him cracked apart.Palmer jolted awake, breathless, his hands shaking. The words wouldn’t leave him. The worst part? He had no idea if this was the future or just the orb trying to break him."Are you alright?" Sarah’s vo

The sun bathed the weathered tombstones in a warm golden glow, casting long shadows over the freshly turned earth.Maximilian Silverwood stood before the graves, his hands clasped into fists. His father. His mother. The Valencourt's. His skin was pale, almost ethereal."Role of Guardian dropped on your shoulders at such a tender age," the stranger mused, his voice smooth, carrying an edge of familiarity. "That kid, Silverwood, is too sharp for his own good," Father Garghat mused, his voice a low murmur as he spoke into the void. "But really, who’d believe a direct messenger of the gods is working hand in hand with their enemies?" His chuckle was dry, almost mocking. "In no time, he’ll be joining his parents, just like the Valencourts. I must say, your comrades' plan is flawless."A shadow stirred within the chamber. From the darkness emerged a Skinwalker—inhuman, predatory, and far more sinister than the lesser creatures. His presence was suffocating. The chill he emitted was nothing like what the elder had felt before. The dim candlelight flickered wildly as he stepped forward, revealing deep, dark crests pulsing on his forehead—an unmistakable mark of nobility. His piercing, glowing eyes locked onto Garghat with something akin to amusement… and disdain."It would’ve been," the figure rasped. "If you had told us the vampires in the Montgomery's were all born of Noble blood."An unsee

Max walked into his home as the evening settled into a gentle hush. Despite the vast wealth his family had accumulated over generations, they never indulged in excess. They lived modestly, valuing simplicity over grandeur."Welcome home, big bro!"A blur of red hair rushed toward him—Louis Silverwood, his youngest sibling. At seventeen, she had blossomed into a striking young woman, her slender frame and soft brown eyes carrying a beauty that shone even in the dim twilight. She had lived with him ever since the tragedy that took their parents. Their eldest sibling? Disowned. The disgrace of the family.Max ruffled her hair absentmindedly, letting out a tired sigh."How'd the meeting go?" she asked."Horrible as always. Those old farts never fail to piss me off," he muttered, rolling his shoulders.Louis smirked. "Well, that’s because they have more experience than you.""Tch."Before he could argue, small feet thudded against the floorboards."Daddy!"His son, Maximilian Junior—barely

His entire existence as a Guardian, everything his ancestors had sworn to protect, felt like a cruel joke. At that moment, all types of emotions surged through his devastated mind. He hated the Church. Despised the gods for abandoning them. Cursed his ancestors for taking up such a burden. And most of all—he blamed himself. For involving his wife. For exposing his son.For being too weak to stop this."That’s one minute gone, young Silverwood."The Noble Skinwalker’s voice was sickeningly casual, dripping with amusement as he gripped Rebecca, his clawed fingers trailing her skin like a predator savoring its meal. He shoved her onto the bed, his form still wearing the twisted mockery of Max’s older brother."Wait!" Max’s voice was hoarse, filled with pure desperation. He knew—it was pointless. Whatever was about to happen, it

The sun rose over the Montgomery estate, its golden rays spilling across the sprawling grounds like molten light. Dew clung to the grass, shimmering like scattered diamonds, while ancient oaks stood sentinel, their leaves whispering secrets to the dawn. It was the kind of morning that promised beauty and tranquility—a day meant to be savored. But for the Montgomery siblings, the dawn brought no comfort.Sarah emerged from her room first, her hair a wild nest of tangles, her eyes rimmed with shadows. She looked like she’d wrestled demons all night—and lost. Damien followed, his usual swagger reduced to a shuffle, his blue eyes bloodshot and hollow. They moved like ghosts through the sunlit halls, their exhaustion a living thing.“Yoh, dude,” Sarah croaked, squinting at her brother. “Your eyes are sagging… and red. Like you’ve been mainlining espresso shots all night.” Damien shot her a withering glare. “You’re one to talk. You look like you crawled out of a crypt.”Sarah flopped onto

The voices of people could be heard cheering in a building that seemed to exist outside the world's gaze. The interior was vast, with a capacity for over a thousand people, its tiers rising high above the main floor. Here, notorious billionaires from across the globe gathered to bid on slaves and artifacts that defied the laws of nature.Seated in a private box on the upper floor was the owner of the auction, Leonardo Jordan. The man who had sent mercenaries after Damien after the young Montgomery raided his auction. A smug smile played on his lips as he watched the bids climb higher and higher. The artifacts on display—ethereal relics that seemed to hum with latent power—were fetching prices that would make even the wealthiest tycoons balk."My bank account is getting heavier yet again tonight," Jordan said

I hope he doesn’t die—I’d love to get to know him better.”The air grew heavy, the pressure in the estate intensifying to an almost unbearable level. The source? Elijah. He emerged from the rubble, his broken hands healing with eerie speed, the bones snapping back into place with audible cracks.“Just today,I’ve been sent flying twice.” Elijah said, brushing his hair back with both hands, his voice calm but laced with menace, “ Just today, I’ve had my hands broken.” He cracked his nec
