The next day Orpheus 'woke' up brimming with energy and immediately began preparing himself for the day. As a Vampire he had little or no sleep but he had to still lie down just like humans did. It was useless but fascinating in a way.

When he was done he went to the dining room where his father and Selene were already seated. Breakfast was roasted lambs with cucumber sauce. There were three bottles of blood beside the plates of food. They were labeled, 'Humane'.

"Good day father," Orpheus greeted as he went to take his seat. He blatantly ignored Selene.

"Ah, you're awake," Viscount Luther said. "How was your sleep?"

"Inasmuch as I didn't fall asleep I'd say it's good," Orpheus said.

Viscount Luther chuckled as he said, "That's how it feels trying to imitate how another specie behaves."

"Uncle, you can sleep at will and so can I," Selene snorted. "He's just being useless."

"Hey..." Orpheus wanted to retort but Viscount Luther waved his hand, stopping them.
