Orpheus suddenly appeared in an unknown part of the city. It was bustling with so much activity that no one realized an additional person had appeared among them out of the blues. There were so much crowds of people who continued walking, brushing past the young Viscount as they went about their day. "The Rodolfo family has been wiped out," Orpheus dropped to his kneels. This attracted the attention of the passerbys as they turned to look at the weirdo who suddenly dropped to his kneels on the concrete sidewalk. "Is he crazy or something?" "That's a thief! Get away from him!" "He looks rich, why is he out here?" "This boy looks like Orpheus Luther Rodolfo! It should be him!" Several people began talking as they slowed down their paces to observe the kid. Of course Orpheus couldn't bear the puny humans staring at him with all kinds of talks so he quickly stood up and made his way out of the crowd of people, taking a bend to another part of the street with lesser numbers of p
Pa!The Viscount struck at Orpheus' face, his punch moving too fast for the human eye to capture.Orpheus quickly lowered his center of gravity, making the punch to fly above his head. His red hair fluttered to the wind that came with the punch which moved at the speed of sound. Adjusting his center of gravity in a blink of eye so that his body moved slightly forward, he delivered an uppercut punch to the Viscount's face. But he was a little too late because his fist already met with an afterimage which vanished afterwards. How come it seems he's faster than me? Orpheus was shocked as he turned around quickly only to be greeted with a powerful punch to the torso.Pa!His body was lifted off the ground by the force of the punch and slammed into the wall with a loud thud. He crashed through it and landed outside the bar.Everyone who saw this immediately scampered off for safety. They had been hearing a commotion inside the bar but it had never crossed their minds that it would be somet
Marcus stood with his hands crossed to his chest, his eyes sizing up the hundreds of children who were pinned to some alchemical device. For an unknown reason just staring at the thousands of needles which had been used on the children made him glad. He even curled up his lips into a smile—a smile befitting of a crazed genius he was.Due to his success on his socalled experiment his former lab had become very small for him so a new lab had been made for him. It was very large and could hold up to a thousand people. Just like the previous it had a gory appearance. The floor had bits of flesh and bones sprawled over them while the walls had blood seeping out of them. Strands of hairs hung from the ceiling, dangling with dry blood on them. A putrid smell filled the whole lab, making whoever that entered pass out immediately (the only exemption being Marcus himself)."I know I've tried this for one thousand times," Marcus said with a warm smile, "let me make it one thousand and one."He t
Daniel, Selene and Shawn were still at Mac's camp. Daniel was seated on a rock beside Selene comforting her while Shawn was testing his powers with the other Lycanthropes. He seemed to be having a great time doing his speed blitzing with the Lycanthropes who paled in comparison to his speed. But of course when the test of strength came, he complained that raw strength wasn't always needed in a fight. The Lycanthropes wouldn't have it so they began arguing greatly. The other Wolfmen of the pack stood aside as if they disregarded the Path one Cursed, talking in hushed tones as they pointed at Daniel and Selene. Of course Daniel heard what they were saying but he chose to ignore them."Those fellas," Selene said. "They seem not to be very fond of you.""Yeah, it's normal," Daniel said. "No one would be fond of a Wolfman who just appeared at their camp one day, claiming that he belonged to their pack."Selene stared back at Daniel and asked, "So what are we going to do about the apocalyps
The whole place was filled with a terrifying aura which seeped into their very souls, making them shiver greatly. Well, except for Orpheus who didn't have any soul as a Crimsone and Daniel who was immune to fear as a Lycanthrope, everyone was affected greatly."We must now head to the assembly hall," Daniel said. "That's where the main ritual is taking place.""The assembly hall?" Orpheus raised his eyebrows. "And why's there a main ritual?"Daniel replied, "Yes, the assembly hall. I dunno about the main ritual but there are other bodies buried across the whole Canada.""What‽" Orpheus was very surprised. Daniel wanted to open his mouth to tell him the reason but he already added, "The other rituals are done to buy more time. They serve as an alternative to bringing Abyss to the world if the main ritual is disrupted."I guess you don't need any help with explanation, Daniel thought within himself. This is the problem with intelligent people. They were still walking when Orpheus sudden
The Witches slowly advanced towards them without saying anything, their heads hung low as if they would touch their chests. Their movements had no sound and their steps uniform. These Witches had several Path one, Hex Mistresses, a few Path two, Traitors and one Path three, Scarlet Eye. As they were moving the Hex Mistresses were already creating hexes to surround the whole place in order to prevent Orpheus or Caroline from escaping alive. They also put a curse on Daniel to prevent him from waking up till the ritual was complete.Well, a Hex Mistress couldn't directly curse targets but would rely on objects like blood, dolls and hairs to bestow calamities on their targets. That was why right now all of them carried dolls with them through which they cursed Daniel, Orpheus and Caroline.Although Daniel and Orpheus were Path two Cursed, they were affected to some degree by the hexes created since the number of Hex Mistresses was greater. Daniel who was unconscious fell into a deeper sta
Other Cursed in the city immediately began fighting the Monsters, legal or illegal. They did everything in their power to stop the Monsters from destroying the whole city in their rampage but their collective efforts were in vain. The Monsters proved to be growing in power every minute. At a part of Crimson Springs Marcus stood with a wide smile as he admired the destruction the rampaging Monsters had caused. Many buildings had been destroyed, reduced to rubbles and several vehicles squashed like pancakes. Puffs of smoke snaked through the whole place, enveloping the city in greyness which reeked of destruction."I would have loved my Monsters to destroy this city but the main ritual is holding here," Marcus said. "I need to control all of them to move to other cities to even the destruction."Immediately he summoned the monsters, causing some of them to spread out from Crimson Springs to Moon City, continuing their rampage. His smile widened because he knew how powerful his Monsters
Mr. Stark opened his eyes slowly as he gasped for air. At first everything was blurry and he couldn't make out what he was seeing. Thus he closed his eyes and opened them again. The whole place looked like an abandoned city devoid of living people. The houses were very old looking and dilapidated, the vehicles covered in rust. Scraggly grasses ran across the tarred road which was broken with weathering. The most horrifying thing about this city was that everything was covered in redness. Even the sky wasn't left out as a fog of redness stretched across it like draperies.Where am I? Mr. Stark asked himself as he stood up slowly. Ouch, my head hurts! he grabbed his head and staggered a few times before regaining his balance. He tried remembering what had happened earlier but his memory felt disoriented. He couldn't remember a thing that had happened."How did I get here?" Mr. Stark asked himself. Something kept telling him that he wasn't of this world but then he didn't know why. All h
