Zhang Xuan felt himself on the verge of a breakthrough from the constant cleaning, his body exposed to the spirital qi while under heavy strain and hard work.
"Is this the results of hyper cleaning in this enviroment? I feel my whole meridians glowing with strength!"
Zhang Xuan feverantly worked harder on the cleaning, this was proving to be more intensive than any exercise he had done before at all. He had just finished wiping the last speck of dirt, after burning through several cleaning rags and cleaning liquids in order to disinfect the apartment.
But, to his surprise, he suddenly felt something shift inside his body. The spiritual qi that had been circulating through him began to flow even faster, and he could sense a sudden influx of energy into his meridians like never before.
He could feel a sudden jolt of energy and vigor coursing through his body. His heart was racing and his limbs began charging with a powerful strength, like liquid thunder roared through them.
He could almost sense the spiritual qi in the air around him, flowing freely into his pores and absorbing directly into his body. It was as if every inch of his skin had become a magnet for this powerful energy, pulling it in and seizing it for himself.
"Is this the feeling of having reached a breakthrough?" He thought excitedly, as an uncontrollable urge to meditate and cultivate surged within him.
Helping himself down onto the ground near the window, Zhang Xuan closed his eyes and took some deep breaths in an attempt to quickly focus and harness this newfound energy. Plunging deeper into a state of meditation, he let the spiritual qi flow freely throughout his body as he immersed himself in his newfound power.
With each breath he took, more of the powerful energy streamed into his body, filling him with newfound vitality and strength. Each passing moment brought him closer to a powerful breakthrough, pushing him ever closer to the next level.
The mysteries of the True Blade Emperor Cultivation began to reveal themselves within Zhang Xuan, his consciousness was suddenly brought into a glowing tinted blue spiritual space within himself.
Inside of it, he stood in front of a series of letters that began to form in front of him.
They fully spelled out the word, Nascent Soul.
However the letters began to crumble, shift and form. Molding themselves into a new word.
"Shining Nascent Soul."
Zhang Xuan's spiritual space began to grow rapidly, changing to appear more full of life and flowing water. The blue inside of it became refined with a greater variety of vivid colors that shocked his senses.
His meridians calmed down from the sudden qi gain, Zhang Xuan sighing in relief. "I've hit a new level!" But before Zhang Xuan could say anything else, his mind was suddenly assaulted with new knowledge he had never known before.
Deep inside his mind, the knowledge of the different levels of Cultivation on this earth were being made clear to him.
It came to him in the following order,
Nascent Soul
Shining Nascent SoulShining Nascent Soul EmperorTranscendent Nascent SoulTranscendent Nascent Soul EmperorSaint SoulHe could fill a massive gap between himself and the next level of cultivation, as if he were a frog in a well that merely got lucky. The amount of qi required for one to go from Shining Nascent Soul to Shining Nascent Soul Emperor level was more than a one hundred times what he possessed currently.
"I knew my luck had to run out at some point." Zhang Xuan contemplated, as he released his grip on the soul space and returned back to reality.
Even though he had expected that his breakthrough would be difficult, he never could have thought that the difference in qi between the two levels would be so vast. At his current rate of absorption, it would take him years before he could reach the next level…
A bitter smile tugged on the corners of Zhang Xuan's lips as he slowly got up to his feet. It seemed like his journey to becoming an expert was going to be a long and arduous one.
"But even so, I can't let myself wallow in self-pity. I need to continue working hard and strive to reach the next level as soon as possible!"
He was not one to give up so easily. After all, if there was one thing that he was good at, it was grinding away at things until he achieved his goal.
He might not be able to reach the next level immediately, but given some time, he was confident that he would get there eventually!
In the midst of his thoughts on what to do, his family came to mind. Zhang Xuan felt a pain in his heart and frustration about leaving them."Should I go back to them?" Zhang Xuan thought, a pang of regret flowing through him. But they would be of no help to him in the future, only a burden that would sabotage him at every end.Yet, he couldn't shake off his concern for them."I have time to think about this, I can make my decision later." He looked at the current day. There were only 45 days left still until the apocalypse began."Are things really the same as I knew them before?" Zhang Xuan contemplated looking outside, it was currently night out. "Perhaps I should rest, I could use a break."Every day he had spent training or honing himself, with little regard for his own body. Zhang Xuan was not like an infinite machine, he needed a break just like everyone else! The young cultivator moved over to his bed.Zhang Xuan looked dramatically out the window, thinking to himself of what he would go forth and do today. He didn't feel like cultivating, despite the necessity and urgency of it. He felt lost inside, and uncertain of himself. He looked around the apartment, noticing how foreign it looked to him. It was surrounded by mysterious spiritual artifacts and unusual furniture that was worn down.Zhang Xuan wandered around, taking in everything that he saw. He felt awestruck by the sheer power and beauty of these objects. They seemed otherworldly, and unlike anything that Zhang Xuan had ever seen before. He felt out of place in his own apartment, as though he didn't belong here amidst all the ancient relics and treasures. It was as if he had stumbled into a magical museum, filled to the brim with wonders beyond his wildest dreams. But despite feeling overwhelmed by it all, he wanted to explore and learn about these spiritual artifacts, eager to
Zhang Xuan turned to the young master with a smirk. He needed to inflict a divine punishment on the man for his arrogance and misbehavior. If left unchecked, the young master would certainly cause his downfall in the future.Memories flashed within Zhang Xuan's mind, of the ancient protagonists of yore. Those who were always betrayed by a foolish and arrogant young master they had spared the beating of the ass! Without a proper beating ingrained into them, these foolish young masters would retreat to gather power to strike back another day!The store clerk watched Zhang Xuan as if he were the hero of a novel, casually beating the ass of the villain in seconds! "Oh my god, He's so cool!" The store clerk exclaimed, the young master standing to face Zhang Xuan."Zhang Xuan, if you beat me. My father will not stand still anymore! I am the son of Fu Meng, once of the richest men in the country!" The Meng son proclaimed, but Zhang Xuan was undeterred. There was only one way to put down such
Zhang Xuan stood inside of the furniture store, the store clerk guiding him to the back sections for his reward. A quick call to his father had gained his approval of Zhang Xuan."Right this way sir." The store clerk pointed, opening the door to the back room. The back room was large and cavernous, with old and musty furniture stacked haphazardly throughout the space. Cobwebs hung from the corners of the ceiling, and dust had settled thickly on many of the items in the room. Zhang Xuan made an expression of bewilderment at how poorly everything was treated in the backroom."Is this really a reward? Everything is so dusty..." Zhang Xuan remarked, interrupted by a sudden feeling within his chest.Zhang Xuan felt warmth emanating from his chest spontaneously. Several unique magical treasures were stored in there, each of which was pulsing with spiritual qi. The store clerk couldn't see anything, but Zhang Xuan could feel the immense power radiating from them. However, he could not pinpoi
Zhang Xuan after finishing a several minute monologue to himself would finally exit the furniture store. The Store Clerk bid him farewell, happy to see such a ruffian young master had finally been taken care of. Zhang Xuan was deep in thought while walking home, wondering deeply about what he would do. He clutched the necklace he had taken in his hands, looking it over carefully. Perhaps it was a spiritual treasure with high potential, judging from the qi he felt inside of it.Maybe it would lend him a new breakthrough, or perhaps a powerful hidden technique inside of it. He wanted to stay longer, but there were more important things to take care of. "It's only been a few days, and I've awakened to such power. I almost forgot the apocalypse was going to happen!" He couldn't forget the reason for his return. Some power, or something out there had allowed Zhang Xuan to return back to the past. To gather power right before the apocalypse happened. He had died so easily during the apocal
"Are you Zhang Xuan?" The Well dressed muscular man asked Zhang Xuan. He looked tense, gruff and serious. His face had a unreassuring expression on it. Zhang Xuan looked up at him with an eager expression. "Finally, something to escape my life problems with!" Zhang Xuan thought to himself, as he shoved the man away from him."You should learn some manners." The Taller man attempted to give a show of strength, but failed spetacularly having been shoved far by Zhang Xuan. Zhang Xuan prepared to take a stance of confidence and eagerness, flexing his fists out and preparing to fight. "How do I know you're not some bad guy looking for me?" Zhang Xuan got ready to fight, a tint of anxiety still left inside of him."This guy can't be a cultivator. He's too weak to be a cultivator. It will be like crushing an ant!" Zhang Xuan thought to himself, studying the man's stance. He took a gruff and brawler like stance against Zhang Xuan, one that reminded him of street thugs and hooligans. "Hmph. Y
Zhang Xuan stood over the defeated ruffian, the man looking like a complete mess. "That's what a side character gets!" Zhang Xuan shouted a little too eagerly. "Now you're going to answer some of my questions about Fu Meng, or you're not gonna have a fun time right now."The Ruffian attempted to put up a tough front, acting invulnerable. "If you think I'm gonna talk, you better think about it again-" Immediately, a loud cracking sound could be heard. A sound that any weak villain was very intimately familiar with.It was the sound of the man's arm snapping in two. He loudly screamed in pain, before recomposing himself. "If you think that's going to stop me, and my loyalty to the Meng Family, you better stop-"Another louder sound came out, the sound of his other arm snapping in two."We can either play the game of how many bones I have to break for you to talk. Or you can shut the hell up and talk already." Zhang Xuan gruffly said to the man, who right after complied. "This man will
Zhang Xuan tried to sit down to cultivate, but then immediately stood back up. His mind was too much of a mess, an endless series of negative emotions that hindered his ability to cultivate himself. He was taken back to those feelings he had, the frustrations he felt, the unresolved doubts and anger he had inside of himself. It bothered him and ate at him from the inside, like a worm trying to suck his attention span away. He would try to cultivate and then feel it stop him immediately. Cultivation was a process that was very sensitive, even the slightest interference would make it a great difficulty to preform. Each attempt at cultivation began to feel more and more useless. The more he tried to cultivate, the more pushback he felt from within himself. He was not in the right mind, his head was in the clouds and kept rising further instead of grounding back into reality. He kept seeing even more images of the things that frustrated him in his life."Ugh. Again! Why can't I cultivate,
Zhang Xuan prepared to slap his former manager, grabbing him tightly by the collar of his shirt. His former manager stared at him aghast with fear, shaking and trembling as if ready to beg for mercy right then and there. "You think you could get away with treating me that way huh? You think you could just yell at me and mock me and look down on me!" Zhang Xuan said in a sharp, but also lightly fearful voice. His inner anger was beginning to come out, his mind returning back to that previous headspace. The headspace of when he was the powerless Zhang Xuan. The Zhang Xuan who got bullied by his manager every day almost. The Zhang Xuan who didn't get anything done and didn't achieve anything. Some of his former anxiety flared up, but it wouldn't stop Zhang Xuan from feeling retribution today. The images played back in his head again, of the time Zhang Xuan's manager knocked things over on purpose. Then he forced Zhang Xuan to clean it up in front of the Manager's friends. It was humiliat
