It was morning and the sun was about to set, Nankpiit village folks were all gathered at the Baobab tree in the middle of the village.
Though their gods told them their land has been defiled and In a few days, they will be attacked, there seems to be relief on their faces. Standing among them was a young man who had switches face of a tiger. He roars like thunder and his eyes light like lightning.
The aura around him causes people to panic at the sight of him. The young man was about twelve years of age and that was Pangbe Duutloug the biological grandson of Duutloug Jasuak.
Pangbe Duutloug was the only biological grandson of Duutloug Jasuak. Pangbe lost his mother at birth and his father Parka Duutloug, died three days to Pangbe's initiation into the dark magic cult.
Parka Duutloug went to get seven heads of a tiger to be used as a ritual in initiating his son into the dark magical cult. The seven tiger heads if gotten will make his son pangbe, more powerful than any person in their village magical cult and beyond.
But luck eluded him when he attacked the seventh tiger. The seventh tiger injured him seriously before escaping.
Parka Duutloug managed to get home with the six heads of the tiger but could not hold it to the next day. He was buried among the great warriors and was mourned for three days and night.
On the third day, the six heads were used and initiated Pangbe into the dark magical cult, this made him very powerful. Although he did not become super powerful, his power was much better than those who are being initiated in the normal way.
When the people of Nankpiit saw the power that Pangbe emitted, they became glad. It was an unseen power in the years of their magic practice.
Besides being initiated by six heads of the tiger, he was also born with special and unique abilities.
When he stretched his hand, fire arrows flow out. His body occasionally emitted fire. All the people gathered there opened their mouths in surprise and admiration. Even men both old and young who possess magical powers were jealous of his powers.
on the other side of Nankpiit village, in the forest, on the way to Nasan, the Northern edge, a group of people numbering five hundred to six hundred marched towards Nankpiit village. trees were falling under their footsteps and aura.
some of them had swarms of bees on their bodies and grasses were drying under the heat of their footsteps. Their footsteps also vibrated the ground caused dust to fly around them. That was the people of Nasan, it will take them a day to reach Nankpiit village.
At Nankpiit village, they can hear the vibration of the ground at far. Three owls flew into the village, one settled on the southern edge of the village, the other on the Northern part and the third owl settled on the baobab tree in the middle of the village.
The owls started hooting, the folks of Nankpiit were in surprise because owls do not move in the daytime. Those who had magical eyes activated it. They were left in shock at what they saw. the aura that emitted from the group of people marching towards their land was too much to phantom.
Pangbe who was part of those who activated their spiritual eyes roared like a tiger; everyone move to the Northern edge of the village. We must not let them into the village else the village will be left in ruins.
They all marched to the Northern edge of the village, the People of Nasan were five hundred meters away but their aura was felt and they could also feel the aura of the people of Nankpiit.
Because of the crash of various aura from both sides, it caused very riotous dust to rise between the two groups. There was no way an ordinary person without magical eyes could see beyond the riots dust.
The vibration of the ground became violent and caused some trees around to fall. Vibration also caused the sky to respond with thunder.
when the two groups drew closer to two hundred meters to each other, branches of trees started flowing in opposite directions. the color of the clouds turned red.
Both sides started roaring and charged towards each other!
They tried to reach each other, but it was like two north poles or two south poles of magnets were to meet. The aura in the two opposing groups repelled! It was as each group was surrounded by an invisible layer pushing them apart. For more than three hours, their magical forces repel! What they could do was to throw fire arrows at each other. Their fire arrows crashed on each other which produced a high metallic sound. The young leader of Nasan, Paarlomang Saab, upon studying the situation, changed his battle field; he activated went up, floating in the sky, he then swung his hand and fast-moving lighting stones fell in the camp of Nankpiit village and killed a few of them while some got injured. Paarlomang swung his hand again aiming to kill more than the first attack. At this time he had activated mountain scatter attack. The mountain scatter attack was conjured by the first king of Nasan. He conjured it and scattered a mountain that
Back in the northern part of Nankpiit village, the magical swarm of bees was still piercing the troops of Nankpitt. All of a sudden swarm of dragonflies came from nowhere and attacked the magical swarm of bees. Within thirty seconds, the magic bees were devoured! by the dragonflies. The troops of Nasan were surprised because they never expected the people of Nankpiit to have the counter-power of magical bees. The magic bees' power and its counter-power were rare and could only be conjured up; by the people of Nasan. How was that possible that the people of Nankpiit had the counter charm?Although the swarm of dragonflies preyed to their advantage, the troops of Nankpiit were equally baffled. They were even more shocked than the people of Nasan. They wondered where the dragonflies came from with their magic eyes. They could still see nothing. The people of Nanpiit were aware that throughout their land, the only thing Nanpiit people have is a cure fo
Pangmang's great-great-grandfather Chamba Faraka Konbik was the one who kept and trained the white-necked raven. The white-necked raven developed the intelligence of a human being. Chamba Faraka Konbik fed the white-necked raven with 'the revolving herb of life also known as an immortal herb. It was an enchanted herb; used to feed royal birds and animals to keep them from dying prematurely or being mistakenly killed by hunters. The white-necked raven, after musing in Pangmang's, ear flew away. Pangmang wanted to stop it and probe further. But the white-necked raven was in a hurry to attend to other things. Pangmang had no option other than to conjure the whirlwind ride magic spell. It was not advisable to use a Whirlwind ride in the presence of many people because if about seven of those present have an umbrella tree covering charm, the whirlwind ride spell will fail and can cause death. The whirlwind charm was rare and could only be conjured;
It was a few great distances between Nankpiit village and Herbs Hill. The homing pigeon had returned, Tebukbe Laarbik was yet to arrive. Pangmang got anxious and devastated, considering the swelling face and neck of his grandfather. The swelling was spreading steadily, and his grandfather was mourning in pain. He tried using magic to heal his grandfather, but all proved futile. Although he was in the dark magic cult, the cure for an enchanted bee-stung was not under his bosom. It was almost a sunset, and different kinds of birds were hymning at Duutloug hats. Two men walked in, it was Tebukbe Laarbik and his aide Yoobe. Pangmang, when he saw Tebukbe Laarbik with his aide, let out a long sigh of relief and quickly got up. He welcomed Tebukbe Laarbik and his aide and gave them millet flour mixed with water that he had already prepared at hand. It was their tradition to offer every visitor millet flour mixed with water. Tebukbe
Back at Duutloug's hat, Joabe's father Laar Dampang and grandfather Laar Yompa were sitting with aggrieved faces. They had heard of Duutloug condition and were there for a visit. The two and Pangmang were all crushed in the heart. Although they had messenger birds and among their birds were three Bat Hawks that have also spent a considerable number of years running night errands for the family. They considered sending the bat hawks, but there was no way the birds would return before dawn. If it was to be on any other land, they could have used magic to reach there. But there was a river before West-End-Valleys, and the river does not permit humans to use magic in crossing it. They gave up waiting for Duutloug to give out his last breath in the morning. Initially, Tebukbe and his aide were not hurt much. But when Laar Yompa, Duutloug's younger brother, started remembering Duutloug achievements in their land, all those present, including
At Herbs Hill, Tebukbe and his aides were busy sorting out various kinds of leaves at his hat. They had returned from picking herbs to heal patients who had come for treatment.Tebukbe Laarbik picked some herbs. Among the herbs were Jatropha, miracle king grass, lemongrass, neem leaves, pawpaw leaves, turmeric, and many others.Tebukbe picked some Jatropha leaves and started teaching his aides. He said, "this is Jatropha; I use this to cure wounds, both external and internal, observe me well how are use it."He picked miracle king grass and said, " this grass has good healing properties. I add it to almost half of the herbs I administer to patients."Drop a few squeeze liquid in the nostrils of a patient who is bleeding from the nose. Let the patient lie down, and the bleeding will stop"."It can heal people from abdominal pain, headache, Hernia, poisonous stings or bite including snake bite and treatment of all forms of poisoning." Duutloug saw in the fire mirror an enchanted coyote and enchanted brown bear. They were laying ambush to attack Duutloug on his way. The two animals; were sent by Chamba Damdinan and his new allied Tabpak Nou. They had managed to integrate the coyote and the brown bear and had sent them on their first mission. When Duutloug saw that, he sermoned their family two cougars. Their cougars Duutloug sermoned were no more leaving with them, at home but come to help the family when the need arises. In the morning, Duutloug, his grandson pangbe, with their two enchanted Cougars, set off to Herbs Hills. They had prepared well to meet the enchanted coyote and the brown bear; that laid to ambush them.Meanwhile, Chamba Damdinan and his allied Tabpak Nou were; monitoring and communicating with the enchanted coyote and the brown bear in Chamba Damdinan's spell calabash that sits on an egg. When Chamba Damdinan and Tabpak; saw Duutloug and his grandson with their enchanted Coug
Duutloug and his grandson got up quickly and jointly threw fire like seven crystal gold balls. The seven crystal gold balls met with six hard glass-like stones on the midway. That six hard glass-like stones; Were thrown by Chamba Damdinan and his allies. When the two spells met, it created a very-loud metallic sound."Ken, Ken, Ken."One of the crystal gold balls passed through, and before Tabpak Nou at Chamba Damdinan side could react, the crystal-gold ball hit him on the chest. The impact flew him in the air and crushed him against a tree, and the tree broke into pieces. He landed heavily on the ground, and blood came out of his nose and ears. He tried to get up, but it was like his bones; were broken. One of the cougars ran and jumped to where; Tabpak Nou was, and in the next seconds, a scream came, and blood flow followed. The cougar, after splitting Tabpak Nou into pieces. It quickly rushed back to help the other cougar that wa
It was morning, the sun was quickly brightening, and the trees around had thrown shades in the opposite direction of the sunshine. Under one of the trees' shades sat an aged man with a gloomy expression on his face. That man was Duutloug. He had sent for his brother, Yompa, and was under the shade waiting for him to come. After his encounter with Joabe the previous day, he had exhausted all means to figure out the true identity of Joabe but had no leading clue to it. He wanted to know which of his enemies had reincarnated because Joabe had told him they had been rivals since they were teenagers.Duutloug, due to the series of atrocities he had committed in the past: made it difficult for him to figure out directly who Joabe was.If Joabe were to be an ordinary person or person with a few abilities and light-shielding on his identity, Duutloug could have found out his make.As Duutloug sat and contemplated about Joabe's identity while shaking his legs,
Meanwhile, at Tieuw-Ting, Noubik Biiting stood with red eyes and a bitter look. He was disappointed about the failure of the enchanted crested porcupine to bring down Duutloug. The more he thought of it, the more he got angry. In the first place, he suffered before stealing the porcupine from the dwarves' land. Porcupines are also nocturnal, and it took him one and a half years to cast a spell and manipulate the crested porcupine to operate in the daytime.Besides the porcupine failing to complete the mission, Noubik Biiting had become an enemy and a target for dwarves. When he stole the crested porcupine at dwarves' land, the dwarves had followed to cease him, but he managed to escape. The dwarves had waged war against him. So he was sad that he would not be able to go back to dwarves land for spells like he used to do...............Back at Nankpiit market, Joabe had left the enchanted crested porcupine under the hands of Duutloug to decide its fate.
Joabe replied Duutloung, "I am who, am I. You have to find out my true identity."People who had gathered at the enchanted animals' area to buy and sell were baffled about the confidence of Joabe. They knew Joabe was spiritually powerful, but they did not believe he could challenge Duutloug in public without any fear. If Duutloug had not argued with the boy for some time, people would have thought that someone told, Joabe to insult Duutloug in public. Duutloug knew he had caused a lot of atrocities in the past, so he stopped challenging Joabe.Laar Dampang perceived that what Joabe said was probably true but shouldn't have been at the market square, apologized to Duutloug for any inconvenience caused to him. Before Laar Dampang could finish talking, Joabe stretched out his right hand across Duutloug's face and grabbed three fast-moving lightning bristles of a crested porcupine. He quickly stretched out his left hand and grabbed another five bristles
It was a market day on the rocky land of Nankpiit and a bright sunny day. People from all walks of life had come to buy and sell. Some traders at the market were known people to residents of Nankpiit, and others were strange faces. The men of Nankpiit and other villages that come to the market reared and sold domestic birds, like homing pigeons, guinea fowls, and wild birds of all sorts. Others traded in enchanted wild animals and skins. The women were dealers in animals oils, wild pepper, cola, and many herbs. The medium of exchange for their goods; was measured in cowries and sometimes certain animal skins.Joabe's father, Laar Dampang, was training and selling enchanted wild birds and animals. On that market, day decided to take Joabe along. It had been two years since Joabe was born, and he had never been to the market. The market square of Nankpiit was a dangerous place for children to be, especially the area where they sold enchanted birds and animals. "Stop rebuking Diuk Kombat. It is our brother Tabpak Nou who has pierced himself with a knife in the chest.""I did warn him when he was about going to meet the people of Nasan for the ally. I told him of the possible consequences, but he refused to listen.""He even called me a coward when I tried stopping him. Paarlomang probably survived because he does not know about the blood wall our ancestors built between; us and the people of Nasan." Chamba Tan Laari then turned to Paarlomang and asked, The night before, you and your father went to Nasan, what did I tell your father?"Paarlomang cried bitterly and said, "I was young to understand what you were telling my father then. The reality has taken us by surprise. I don't understand why my father ignored your advice."Upon Paarlomang's words, the crowd was heartbroken and cried with great regret. Those who scolded Chamba Diuk earlier started apologizing to him, but he ignored all of them and said, "why should an an
At Herb's hills, people were in a panic; about the thunder sound, they heard from black stones valley. Even though the people at herbs hills were spiritually powerful, their spiritual power was limited to understanding herbs and using them; to heal people. There was no single sorcerer at Herb's hills to explain the thunder sound that occurred at black stone valley to them. The sound became a topic. Some of the residents at Herb's hill thought they were; about to be attacked, again like how the coyote attacked them the other day.It was not long that Duutloug and his grandson arrived at Herb's hills. When Duutloung and Pangbe got to Herbs Hills and heard the residents discussing the thunder sound, he proudly told the people that he was dealing with a tiny issue in the black stones valley. The residents breathed in relief when they heard Duutloung and went back to their businesses.Meanwhile, In a village located on the northwest side of Nankpiit,
