Calvin’s eyes snapped open, his heart racing as he struggled to make sense of his surroundings. He was lying on the floor of his team’s headquarters, his body aching from the fierce battle he had just endured.

“What happened?” he muttered, his voice hoarse as he pushed himself into a sitting position.

As his vision cleared, Calvin saw his team standing over him, their expressions grim as they exchanged worried glances.

“You passed out during the fight,” Marcus said, his voice filled with concern. “We had to carry you back here.”

Calvin frowned, his mind reeling as he tried to piece together the events of the past few hours. But then everything had gone dark – and now he found himself back at headquarters, with no memory of how he had gotten there.
