“I know the creature is close by, but we need to evacuate the prisoners from the building before—” suddenly the elevator stopped moving followed by a roar that hooked the whole building. “That's the creature's rage”
Liz looks at him in confusion. “Anger?” she asks. “What does that mean?"Paul glances down at Liz as the doors open with a ding and steps out. “The creature may look like a beast, but its emotions are much more complex than that. Its anger is pure rage fueled by fear, fear fueled by pain, and pain fueled by loneliness. It's driven by hate, hate-fueled by grief. That's why it's called the Beast of New York"“You must have lost your mind,” Elizabeth whispers incredulously.Paul shakes his head as they step out of the elevator and approach the cell doors. “I wouldn't say that, Liz. I wouldn't call what I saw a hallucination if it was just a hallucination. You see, the reason I said 'no one can resist being drawn to this place is that I bThe group is led through a maze of hallways and then down stairs to a basement. The room is dark and musty smelling. An old iron gate is sitting on a platform in the middle of the room and a couple of men are standing next to it. There is a large metal padlock attached to the front gate. Two guards stand guard outside the gate. A loud noise catches the group’s attention and the doors of the lift begin to slide open.Liz looks up and sees another security guard standing behind the two men, holding a gun pointed directly at them. She stares wide-eyed at the guard before quickly averting her gaze, focusing instead on the floor. After the elevator door has slid shut once again, she turns back to look at the guards. One of them smiles at her slightly, "I'm sorry Miss Jones. No visitors permitted under any circumstances." He reaches up and pats her head playfully. "I bet they'll let you through though. It's nice to see a young woman getting some exercise, hm?"The other guard smiles malicio
“You should head to Clem City and find that bastard of a son ” The Don growled out loudly while staring directly at Deadman .“Yes Sir, I'm heading there” Deadman answered and then proceeded to leave, making sure to slam the door shut behind him. He went back to his horse and mounted it quickly. He rushed climbing unto his horse as he raced to Clem city. The streets were filled with zombies, he avoided the corpses as he rode past them. They weren't paying him any attention anyway. As he neared the city, it became darker and darker, the only source of light coming from the moon. Deadman pushed his horse as fast as he could, trying to put as much distance as possible between them and the Zombie horde before him. Finally, the city came into sight, Deadman stopped his horse in front of the gates of the city. The gate was open, but nothing else. Nothing unusual. Deadman dismounted and entered the city. No zombies greeted him, and no sounds of screaming or crying echoed through the em
of the city. Perhaps to escape another zombie attack. He entered and noticed how dim it appeared compared to the outside world. The lights were all broken or missing, but he didn't care, he needed to focus on the task at hand. He searched the hallways for any signs of other people, but he found nothing. “Hello?! Anybody here?? Please respond" Deadman yelled out, he knew they were here, and they would hear him eventually, but he hoped that they didn't answer him“If anyone sees me, please come to my aid!" He shouted, still searching the halls for movement. Eventually, he decided to go upstairs to where they stored the bodies to search for survivors. After checking every hallway and room in the building, he decided he couldn't continue. It was empty. He left the hall and returned downstairs into the city.
DEADMAN POV I walked into the middle of the abandoned building with my gun drawn close to me . The place seemed empty, not a sound could be heard aside from my breathing. Suddenly, I felt something touching my leg, it was cold and slimy, causing me to look down to see the most disgusting thing I'd seen in my entire life.It was a body, lying lifelessly across the floor. There was a hole in its chest. The body looked human, even though its face and arms were covered in blood. The clothes were dirty, torn, and ripped, along with the shoes. The body lay on the floor, next to one of the many pools of blood covering the floor. The smell of blood filled the air, and my body tensed up slightly, afraid of what the body might do. Slowly, I walked closer to examine the body. On the corpse’s stomach, there was a large red stain. A wound? That's weird, it shouldn't have any blood, unless…I touched the wound, and the whole thing started to burn hot. It was a burning sensation, the same kind t
D REAPER POV I tried focusing on the zombie across the road while I zoomed the camera, preparing to shoot, but it was hard to focus. My vision began blurring and my thoughts began growing blurry. I tried focusing back on the camera, but all I saw was darknessMy vision finally cleared and I gasped, I had accidentally hit one of the creatures with my gun, knocking it off balance. With shaky fingers, I pushed the button for the video to stop recording, letting out a sigh of relief.‘I am so stupid I thought. I took the camera and threw it across the room, where it crashed against the far wall, shattering into dozens of pieces. ‘Shit! This is bad, I need to fix the camera!’I stumbled over to my camera and picked it up carefully. Luckily it didn't break apart into many pieces, but that didn't make me feel much better eitherI placed the camera on my desk and sat in front of it, grabbing my pen, and writing something down in my diary***A few hours passed, and it was already dar
“You want the apple, trust me it in a safe hand” I answered“What do you mean safe hand?”Jaden asked me “Over there” I pointed behind as they all turned to see an 8ft zombie rushing towards us , it raised its bloody arms in the air with blood dripping down his hands, droplets of red hitting the ground as it approached. All of us screamed and ran in the opposite direction. We ran down different alleyways, avoiding the zombie until we eventually reached a big, open area full of empty parking lots filled with carsWe stopped running, panting heavily, staring at each other. I leaned against the brick wall of one of the empty parking lots as I watched the rest of our group take cover from another group of zombies.“So, what exactly does the apple do anyway?” Jake asked me“It gives powers” I replied. The zombie slams the cars on its pathway as it causing a large explosion and destroying all the cars surrounding it“How does the apple work? How do you control it?” Jacob asked “It's ju
It tries to bite his throat, but Justin blocks the attack. He grabs the Buggyman arm, twists it and flips him over his head and slams him into the ground. He grabs one of the remaining guns from the floor, and aims at the Buggyman, shooting once, twice, three times , destroying it from the inside. Then Justin rushes to Liz to check if she was alright.“Liz? Are you okay” Justin asks. She smiles weakly, nodding her head. “Yeah, I guess so,” Liz whispers“Are you sure? You took quite the blow” Justin asks worried.“Just give me a minute,” Liz tells him, trying to stand up.Justin holds Liz and helps her to her feet. “Can you walk? Do you need help?” he asks her“No” Liz says. “I don't need your help”Justin frowns deeply as he examines her wounds. “Let me see. You took the hit pretty hard”“Don't worry,” Liz assured. “Now lets get out of here”Justin turns to face Jade and Kiara.Kiara sighs frustrated “can't we just go home?”“Not yet” Justin replies. “First we have a mission to comp
from it, heading towards meI lowered the gun that was held in my hand and took a deep breath. These were my opponents, my enemies, I needed to know how to beat them.I aimed my gun at each one of the zombies who had begun closing in and fired, taking down four of them. Then two more began advancing at a fast speed. Before I had time to dodge the attack, they collided with my left shoulder and sent me flying backward onto the ground with an agonizing pain surging through my armThis wasn't happening! I thought to myself. This isn't happening! How could I have been defeated like this? What was wrong with these zombies?!Another zombie lunged at me, and I shot it straight through the chest before it could reach me.I was exhausted, I knew that. It didn't matter though. The adrenaline rush of victory filled my body as I continued shooting, ignoring the pain from the wound on my shoulder. Then, suddenly, the crowd burst into applause.I stopped, panting. I had just killed five zombies and
