Chapter 83

The next morning uncle B wakes up to see Lucy

sleeping soundly at the other end of the room, wrapped up in a blanket. His eyes wander around the room until they settle upon a wooden box sitting on top of a table. There’s no name written on it, but there are letters carved into the lid. They're so small uncle B can barely make them out.

Uncle B grabs the box before he gets up. “Lucy wakes up, we better head to the village ”

Lucy groans and turns over, burying herself under her blanket. “I want to sleep”

uncle B chuckles “you need to get up and help me get to the village before ” he pulls the blanket off of her and places the box down in front of her.

She blinks awake, staring at the box. She smiles tiredly “yeah okay”

Uncle B walks to the door and opens it. He steps outside, scanning the horizon for any sign of life. Nothing. Uncle B sighs. The only people who seem to live here have gone to town, so maybe they'll be safe here for now.
