DEAD ERA- Afterworld DM Battle Phase 1
DEADMAN POV I walked into the middle of the abandoned building with my gun drawn close to me . The place seemed empty, not a sound could be heard aside from my breathing. Suddenly, I felt something touching my leg, it was cold and slimy, causing me to look down to see the most disgusting thing I'd seen in my entire life.It was a body, lying lifelessly across the floor. There was a hole in its chest. The body looked human, even though its face and arms were covered in blood. The clothes were dirty, torn, and ripped, along with the shoes.The body lay on the floor, next to one of the many pools of blood covering the floor. D REAPER POV I tried focusing on the zombie across the road while I zoomed the camera, preparing to shoot, but it was hard to focus. My vision began blurring and my thoughts began growing blurry. I tried focusing back on the camera, but all I saw was darknessMy vision finally cleared and I gasped, I had accidentally hit one of the creatures with my gun, knocking it off balance. With shaky fingers, I pushed the button for the video to stop recording, letting out a sigh of relief.‘I am so stupid I thought. It tries to bite his throat, but Justin blocks the attack. He grabs the Buggyman arm, twists it and flips him over his head and slams him into the ground.He grabs one of the remaining guns from the floor, and aims at the Buggyman, shooting once, twice, three times , destroying it from the inside. Then two more began advancing at a fast speed. Before I had time to dodge the attack, they collided with my left shoulder and sent me flying backward onto the ground with an agonizing pain surging through my armThis wasn't happening! I thought to myself. This isn't happening! How could I have been defeated like this? What was wrong with these zombies?!Another zombie lunged at me, and I shot it straight through the chest before it could reach me.I was exhausted, I knew that. It didn't matter though. Dead Man POV I stood before the Leader of the survivor group, while he sat on a chair and was being caressed by some women beside me. “Why are you here?" the Leader asked me “I'm here for Jaden, the butcher” I answered coldlyThe Leader looked up at me with his cold dark eyes. “You know where he is?”“He's hiding in the woods” I answered and walked towards him. “I found a body near there, but I didn't see it so Jaden could be nearby. I thought if you know what happened to him then maybe we can find him”The Leader nodded. “Let's go get him,” he said and got up from the chair. After that moment of realization, Jaden calmed down and became a human again. He fell forward and landed on his knees, he looked exhausted, defeated. A tear rolled down his cheek,“What do you want from me?” he asked with a trembling voice.“I only need you to come with me to Don, let's make this easy,” I said calmly, “Easy? do you know what is Don gonna do to me when he sees me? maybe you also are part of the” Jaden says loudly“Part of what?” I asked with a confused tone.“The Don is a crazy old guy, he will torture me until death” Jaden explained with a shaking voice.I stared at him shocked. Then I took a deep breath. My breathing had gotten a bit easier now, but I knew I was not going to live through this night unscathed. I was almost certain that one of his teeth were embedded in my skin and I could feel the blood oozing out of it. I wanted to say something or at least move. But my legs felt heavy.I heard the sound of footsteps and I knew that I was about to lose consciousness soon. I tried to get up on shaky legs, but fell back to the ground. A strong pair of arms grabbed me and helped me stand up. When I regained control of my feet, I recognized the familiar warmth. Jaden?As soon as I was able to hold his hand, I leaned into him and tried to smile. “Sorry... I didn't want to cause you trouble,” I said as I squeezed his hand softlyJaden smiled sadly, “You never had caused me trouble,” he muttered, his gaze focused on our joined handsI sighed deeply, “I hope you know that I really am sorry” I whisperedhe chuckled lightly and looked at me, “it doesn't matter anyway, everything ended happily”
