The truth

“I found a secret door to the outside world” muttered the boy under his breath.

“A secret doorway?” Jeremy repeated, a confused look appearing on his face

“Yes...” the boy muttered, fidgeting nervously

“Okay... But how does that explain my room? I thought you just wanted to talk?”

“There wasn't anything else I wanted to do, so I went up there”

“So, you just decided to break in and take my things?” asked Jeremy sarcastically

The other boy nodded.

“That's stupid” Jeremy commented, feeling his anxiety growing as he saw the panic in the other boy’s eyes “You could've gotten hurt! I'm warning you right now, if I find you breaking into other people's rooms, I'll kick your ass”

“I'm sorry, okay? But I'm not hurting anybody. Nobody's gonna get hurt. I promise, I'm just borrowing them” he insisted.

Jeremy sighed exasperatedly “You better be careful, dude. This whole situation is weird as hell” he mumbled

“I will” the boy promised “And I won't do it again, alright? I'm trying to help you,
