Chapter 10

The Last Conflict

Caught inside the unwanted manufacturing plant, Detective Vanilla Lawson, Agent Michael Stevens, Lucy Bennett, Jane Monroe, and Lucas Sanchez ended up encompassed by intensely furnished agents of The Organization. The unease in the air was overwhelming, and the central battle for truth and equity had arrived at its peak.

The head of The Organization, a man with a steely disposition and cool, computing eyes, ventured forward. "You've brought us a considerable amount of hardship, haven't you?"

Vanilla, her voice consistent in spite of the desperate circumstance, answered, "haven't arrived to create problems. We're hanging around for Lucy. Let her go, and we'll leave calmly."

The Organization chief laughed, an evil sound that creeped them out. "You don't have the foggiest idea, Detective Lawson. Lucy is our insurance contract. We can't let that proof you've uncovered come around."

Lucy, her eyes overflowing with disobedience, said, "I won't allow you to utilize me against them. I won't be a pawn in your game."

The Organization chief's grin blurred, supplanted by a chilling determination. "Then, at that point, you leave me with no decision."

As the agents shut-in, an unexpected blast shook the production line, creating bedlam and turmoil. Smoke and

trash consumed the atmosphere, darkening their vision. Vanilla, Agent Stevens and the others jumped all over the chance to make a run for it, hauling Lucy along.

Outside the processing plant, they refocused, wheezing for breath and attempting to figure out what had simply occurred. Lucas, his voice loaded up with shock, said, "I didn't anticipate that blast. It saved us."

Jane gestured, her eyes examining the edge. "The Organization probably had explosives manipulated in the production line if all else fails."

Vanilla, her psyche dashing, said, "We really want to utilize this chance to vanish. The Organization will be after us, and we can't risk being gotten once more."

They split up, each following an alternate way to dodge any pursuit. Lucy was brought together with her dad's examination, which had been defended by Lucas. The proof was as yet their best weapon against The Organization.

As they travelled through the shadows, the gathering got a message from Jane. "I'll remain behind and keep The Organization occupied. You really want to get that proof to somewhere safe."

With crushing sadness, they abandoned Jane as a redirection and advanced toward a protected area to regroup.
